About the job
Do you want to work with the municipality's financial management and help create overview, security and quality in some of the municipality's most central financial processes?
We are busy in Finance and Payroll. The municipality's financial reality is becoming increasingly complex, and we are experiencing a growing demand for analyses, coordination and financial sparring. Therefore we are creating a new position as a financial controller.
The position is for you who thrive in combining analytical financial work with coordination, development tasks and advisory. You must be able to see connections across systems and processes, create structure in complex issues and translate financial analyses into decision bases that can be used in practice.
Your main tasks
- Administration of the municipality's asset management
- Liquidity forecasting and ongoing follow-up
- Administration of loans, guarantees, sureties and deposits
- Administrator in relation to the municipality's banking relationships
- Coordination of accounting submissions and year-end closing
- Preparation of analyses, notes and decision briefs for management
- Controlling tasks regarding LetBetaling and payment plans in collaboration with Invoice Processing
- Coordination of the municipality's LOS group
- Project work regarding organisational data, chart of accounts and specialist systems
- Implementation responsibility for relevant KOMBIT projects in the department
As a financial controller you will have a broad role with responsibility for some of the municipality's central financial areas.
Sometimes you are the specialist who ensures the management of loans, guarantees, liquidity and asset management. Other times you are the analyst who translates complex financial issues into clear recommendations. And often you are the sparring partner who supports management with analyses, notes and decision proposals.
You must be able to maintain an overview in complex processes while also keeping an eye on detail when it comes to financial dispositions, risks and data quality.
An important part of the job will also be to contribute to the development and harmonisation of the municipality's financial and administrative processes, so we create more robust workflows and better coherence between the organisation, data and systems.
We are looking for someone who
- is a sharp communicator who can translate the complex into short and easy-to-understand messages
- has a solid understanding of financial management and financial processes
- can unravel complex connections and create structure
- works independently, structured and detail-oriented
- has strong collaboration skills and finds it natural to build relationships across the organisation
- preferably has experience from banking, auditing or a central finance function in a larger organisation
We do not necessarily expect that you have worked with all tasks before. Instead we expect that you are curious, learn quickly and can translate new knowledge into concrete solutions.
Your educational background may vary and is not decisive for us, but we imagine that you have a strong financial understanding and experience with financial analyses and processes.
Therefore you should choose us
You will have a central role focusing on controlling and development, where there will never be two identical days. You will have a large contact surface and the opportunity to influence how we work with reporting, implementation of digital solutions and controlling in the financial area.
You will become part of Finance, which is placed in Finance and Payroll, which among other things handles the municipality's accounts receivable and payable, the municipality's invoice handling and other exciting tasks within the financial area. We work closely with the rest of Finance and Payroll to support financial management. We have a strong professional community where helping each other is a given, and where we value courage, responsibility and integrity.
Practical information
The position is a permanent full-time position of 37 hours with the workplace at Frederikshavn Town Hall, Rådhus Allé 100, 9900 Frederikshavn.
Salary and employment terms are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Start date by agreement, but preferably as soon as possible.
