Job and Benefits consists of 30 employees, distributed across 3 teams. The department is part of Labour Market and Social.

You will work with various administrative tasks in the benefits area, as well as make decisions based on legislation and current legal practice. It is important that you work with the core task in mind, where you, together with your colleagues, help ensure that citizens receive the right benefit on time.

You are able to meet citizens eye to eye with a focus on a positive and constructive approach. You must possess the ability to work independently, take initiative and collaborate on our shared core task. You will participate in solving the tasks together with colleagues in the Cash Assistance team, professional coordinators and the department head. It is important that you dare to take the initiative and focus on contributing to the shared task solution in the team.

Job function

• Make decisions on applications and ongoing cases
• Citizen service by phone, in person and digitally
• Guidance and advice to citizens
• Diverse administrative tasks
• You can translate legal text into reality according to current practice
• Handle appeal cases

Professional competencies

• You are a social worker
• Experience with the benefits area and the employment/activation area
• Experience with SBSYS, Fasit, KY
• Have experience with case processing and administrative practice
• Have experience with note-taking duty, party hearing, decisions and appeal case handling
• Know what it is like to work in a politically governed organization
• Can contribute to the ongoing development of the department's professionalism and workflows

Personal competencies

• Have good collaboration skills - both in your team and cross-disciplinary across the organization
• Have good communication skills - both written and spoken
• You contribute to a good working environment, and are able to maintain calm and overview in a busy everyday life
• Come with a good sense of humor and want to work in an informal department
• You are flexible and stable

Salary and employment are according to the applicable collective agreement after agreement with the bargaining representative organization and the principles of Ny løn – HK or DS.
