Forestry and machine operator for nationwide tasks

Do you have experience with forestry work, and can you see yourself in a role where you both have the chainsaw in your hand and operate the robot chipper? Then you could be the right fit for the job as a forestry and machine operator at Forstas.

We are looking for an engaged and versatile employee who can combine practical forestry work – including tree felling with a chainsaw – with machine operation. You will become part of a dedicated execution team and will have a workday with varied tasks, good gear, and plenty of fresh air.

The tasks can occur across the country, but at the moment we mainly have activities in Central and Southern Denmark. Therefore, it is an advantage if you live centrally in Central Jutland (preferably in the Silkeborg or Horsens area) and thrive with a daily routine where you drive around the country to your tasks.

Your tasks

You will have a varied workday, where the tasks will include

• Tree felling and other practical forestry work
• Felling and handling of trees and vegetation
• Driving and operating the robot chipper
• Nature and area maintenance
• Other execution tasks within our green operations
• Collaboration with colleagues on safe and efficient task execution

In the position you should be ready to work with your hands and a chainsaw as well as be comfortable working with machines. You do not need to have a specific education. The most important is that you have practical experience with forestry and the desire and ability to operate a robot chipper.

Your background and experience

You should have practical experience with similar tasks, ideally with tree felling and forestry work, and hold a B and BE driving license.

• Have experience with machine operation and a good technical understanding
• Can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
• Have a focus on safety, quality and properly completed work
• Courses “Use of Chainsaw 1” and/or “Use of Chainsaw 2”
• Thrive with physical outdoor work in all kinds of weather
• Are flexible regarding changing work locations and nationwide tasks

It is an advantage if you have completed the course “The Road as the Workplace,” but it is not a hard requirement.
