About the job

As foreman at Arkil in Silkeborg you will have a central and responsible role. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated foreman who is fully project-managing and not supervisory. You will be responsible for driving and managing large construction projects, typically exceeding 5 million DKK. The projects range from road projects, road expansions, installation of noise barriers and especially larger construction projects primarily in main contracts. Geographically, the projects will typically be located in and around Central/West Jutland, but it should be expected that there may also be work nationwide.

Your main tasks will include

• Daily leadership, management and progress of larger construction projects.
• Motivating and leading the hourly-paid crew in your team to ensure well-being and effective collaboration.
• Close collaboration with suppliers and responsibility for daily planning.
• Participation in tendering, including reading drawings and optimizing the cases.
• Assembly and staffing of the right crew for each project.
• Daily client dialogue and participation in construction meetings.

About you

You bring solid experience as a foreman and have proven your leadership abilities and a strong understanding of the practical work on site. Your most important professional ballast is a strong background in large construction projects, where you have led major projects. Knowledge of urban sewer systems is an advantage, but it is the heavy earthworks and construction work that is central to the role.

• Have a good overview and can stay calm and make decisions – even when things move fast.
• Are willing to dive into calculations and can express yourself well both verbally and in writing.
• Have basic IT understanding and curiosity to use digital tools in daily work.
