Forward Deployed Engineer (Part-time)

About the position

As a Forward Deployed Engineer in GUBI’s Tech & AI team, you will embed in one department at a time to solve valuable business problems. You will write production code, connect AI to live business data, and refine systems with the people using them. Based in our beautiful Copenhagen office and showroom, you will have a company-wide mandate, established AI foundations, direct access to leadership, and short decision cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Build agents, tools, and integrations that connect LLMs to live business data (ERP, helpdesk, product, and stock data) so people get answers and can take action within their daily workflows.
• Turn vague requests into a concrete problem, a measurable outcome, and a first working version, fast.
• Work side by side with a department until you understand how the work gets done, where it slows down, and what would make a difference.
• Write production code, deploy it, and keep it running reliably and securely, in line with GUBI’s security policies.
• Define success with each department and measure the impact, whether that means time saved, fewer manual steps, or better service.
• Evaluate AI outputs, handle edge cases, and build appropriate monitoring and safeguards into the systems you deploy.
• Help colleagues adopt what you build through practical guidance, clear explanations, and ongoing support.
• Document your work and share reusable components and lessons across the business.
• Bring new perspectives, ideas, and ways of working into the business, helping teams turn experimentation into lasting change.

Qualifications

• You write and ship production code (Python, TypeScript, or similar) and you are comfortable deploying and maintaining what you build.
• You have shipped an LLM or agentic system to real users, and can show what it changed.
• You have practical experience with tool calling, context management, and connecting agents to real data through integrations and protocols such as MCP.
• You learn a new business domain fast and translate what you learn into practical technical solutions.
• You know how to evaluate AI systems and debug issues across prompts, tools, data, and application code.
• You use sound engineering practices, including control, testing, monitoring, and secure data handling.
• You can explain technical choices clearly to colleagues and work with them to prioritize what to build.
• Experience with ERP, order management, or helpdesk systems (especially Zendesk) is an advantage.
• Experience in a business selling physical products with complex logistics, or in B2B where relationships and product knowledge matter, is also valuable.

Language skills

Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
