About the job

Then you might be our new colleague, who can help make a difference for Copenhagen’s cultural and leisure life.

Seize the opportunity and come aboard

We offer an exciting position in the Office for Budget and Financial Management. Here you will have a diverse task portfolio that requires you to be willing and brave to learn to operate at all levels in our political organization and to collaborate with colleagues across the entire Culture, Leisure and Citizen Service Administration.

You will have the opportunity to develop professionally and personally and grow into new areas of responsibility with highly prioritized tasks at the interface between politics and economics.

Your main tasks are

  • Plan and manage the processes relating to the political negotiations about the upcoming year’s budget
  • Prepare notes, recommendations and decision proposals to management, the executive management and the political level on financial issues and political handling options
  • Communicate and advise across the administration, where tasks vary in complexity and require involvement of partners with great professional diversity

Is it you?

We are looking for a skilled colleague who thrives on diverse tasks at the intersection of politics and economics, is curious about the organization as a whole and naturally seeks knowledge in collaboration with colleagues.

You easily form new relations and thrive in a team where we develop professionally together, support each other in solving tasks and use each other’s competencies in the best possible way.

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant long-cycle higher education in social sciences, such as cand.scient.pol., cand.polit./oecon. cand.merc., cand.scient.adm. or equivalent
  • Possess relational skills to handle many stakeholders across subject areas
  • Can cope with periodic high workload with many balls in the air and fast-paced environment
  • Have experience with or are curious about public financial management and decision-making processes in a publicly controlled political organization
  • Are well versed in the Office package

About us

In Budget and Financial Management we ensure good processes and frameworks for the administration’s overall financial management. Our team also coordinates the political negotiations about the budget and supports the discussions in the political committee. We are proud to create alignment between political intentions and financial management in the administration. As an employee in Budget and Financial Management you gain insight into the entire administration and can see that the numbers on the screen relate to reality out in the Copenhagen streets.

We are a department characterized by flexibility and freedom in task solving, high trust in the individual and a strong sense of community – we will succeed together, and we do so, among other things, when the invisible processes behind the financial and political negotiations function. In addition, we prioritize social events and show interest in each other, both professionally and personally, and we have a broad age range.

Terms of employment

The position is full-time with salary and terms of employment according to qualifications and in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Your primary place of work will be Hans Nansens Gård, Copenhagen V.
