About the job

As a Full Stack .NET developer in the National Cyber Crime Center (NC3), you build and maintain digital tools that help the police use teledata in the investigation of serious and complex crime. You translate users' needs into secure and usable solutions and follow them from idea and development to operation.

Your new everyday

The Teledata Department at NC3 is responsible for teledata in the Danish police and the IT systems used to obtain data from teleoperators. Teledata can play a crucial role in investigations, and we therefore develop and maintain tools that help police investigators work efficiently with data.

You will become part of a development team in the Teledatasupport Section, where you develop, maintain and integrate investigative and analytical tools related to teledata. You will get close to users’ needs and collaborate with colleagues in the team, technical specialists and staff in the police districts.

You will work, among other things, with

  • developing solutions in C# and ASP.NET Core, including MVC and Web API in Visual Studio
  • working with data and data models in Microsoft SQL Server and EF Core
  • building and maintaining user interfaces with TypeScript or JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • integrating systems and translating user needs into concrete features
  • following solutions from the first ideas and prototypes to operation and maintenance
  • sharing knowledge and contributing to the team's technical direction
  • planning and documenting solutions in Jira (Atlassian).

The Teledata Department consists of two sections that work closely together. In Teledatasupport we work with user support and system development, while Teledatainfrastructure handles application operations, second-line support, security and supplier collaboration.

The Teledata area and the technologies and standards we work with change continuously. We share knowledge, discuss solutions and help each other find the right technical direction. The working environment is informal with room for professional sparring and different perspectives.

Our new colleague

We imagine you have a relevant IT education and experience as a .NET developer. You may have your particular strength in backend, frontend or integration, but you are interested in the whole solution and eager to work across technologies.

Professionally we especially emphasize that you

  • have experience with C# and .NET development
  • can work with web applications, APIs and databases
  • can work in a structured way with large data sets
  • think security into your work and understand the importance of confidentiality, integrity and access control.

It is an advantage if you have worked with integration development or Business Intelligence. Knowledge of Qlik is also relevant but not a prerequisite.

You work in a structured manner and can translate complex needs into concrete and usable solutions. When you take responsibility for a solution, you follow it from idea to operation and maintenance. You can work independently but also thrive when developing solutions in close collaboration with others.

Part of the work consists of understanding users’ needs and translating them into technical solutions. Therefore you must be able to communicate clearly with both technical colleagues and users without a technical background.

You do not need to know the teledata area in advance or have experience with all the technologies mentioned. The most important is that you have a solid development background and a desire to delve into a complex professional field where technologies and standards continuously change.

Salary and terms of employment

If you have an academic background, you will be employed under collective bargaining agreements in accordance with the agreements between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). If you have another educational background, you will be employed under the prevailing state office staff and IT employees’ collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK/STAT and the OAO-S joint agreement.

There is a fully employer-funded pension scheme linked to the position. If you are a desk officer in the police, you may retain this employment form.

The workplace is the National Unit for Special Crime, Ejby Industrial Road 125-135, 2600 Glostrup.

The position is full-time, 37 hours per week including a paid lunch break. Normal working hours are Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 to 16:00, Thursday from 8:00 to 15:00 and Friday from 8:00 to 14:00. We offer flexitime. For security reasons, work is primarily performed on site, and remote work is only possible to a limited extent.

The police wish to support and promote employees’ physical health. Therefore we have a smoke- and nicotine-free working environment. We have a common canteen offering breakfast and a lunch buffet with a salad bar and a wide selection of healthy dishes. We have a sports association, our own fitness center and an active staff association.

It is a condition of employment that you can obtain a security clearance and maintain the clearance throughout your employment.

We expect to conduct 1st interviews on 10 November 2026, where there will be a skills test without aids. The 2nd interview round is planned for 17 November 2026.

The position can be filled when the security clearance is completed. We expect this to be completed no later than 1 April 2027.
