About the job

Two employees on 37 hours are sought for our housing support team with employment starting 1 December 2026

One of our wonderful colleagues is retiring after many years at the same time as we take on more tasks. Therefore we are looking for two new employees for our housing support team, which provides housing support according to SEL §85; either in the citizen's own home or as group housing support out in the city with a colleague.

We are in ongoing dialogue about whether our offering matches the target group and whether our organization is optimal. You will plan your own work, but must be prepared for varying and flexible working hours on weekdays.

The target group is citizens with reduced physical or mental ability or special social problems. Eg. people with psychiatric illness, addicts, people with ADHD, autism, brain injury, etc.

The offering is organized under The social care offerings in the Center for Family and Disability in Rebild municipality and as we value multidisciplinary work and different approaches our housing support team consists of social- and health assistants, occupational therapists, pedagogical assistant and pedagogues.

We work recovery-oriented and in the housing support area it is based on individual pedagogical action plans, made together with the citizen. They should help ensure that the citizen develops/maintains the competencies necessary to live as independent a life as possible

The primary tasks will be

  • to help ensure learning in the skills necessary to live alone; cooking, shopping, laundry, finances, personal hygiene, etc.
  • to support self-determination
  • to support and train the citizen's social skills
  • to support and train the citizen in using leisure time in a good way and in being able to participate in activities outside the home
  • to develop pedagogical sub-goals together with the citizen and continuously follow up on these
  • to contribute to development of new methods and implementation
  • to document your efforts in Nexus
  • to collaborate with the network; relatives as well as professionals

We expect that you

  • are educated as a pedagogue or have another relevant education
  • have experience in working with the target group
  • have good collaboration skills and can see the necessity of cross-organizational collaboration
  • are flexible and creative in thought and action
  • can work independently but also engage in professional, binding partnerships
  • have the desire and courage to help develop the area
  • take responsibility for the use of the cars the department has

We offer

  • Good engaged colleagues with different competencies
  • Good onboarding and a mentor attached for the first 3 months.
  • Good cooperation with authorities and other partners
  • A safe working environment with collegial community and approachable leadership
  • Self-planning within the set framework
  • Opportunity for collegial sparring and sparring with the professional coordinator in good documentation practice
  • Supervision with external supervisor
  • Professional competence development
  • Opportunity for further training
