About the job

Are you service-minded, approachable and good at keeping an overview – even when there are many guests and several tasks at once?

Are you motivated at the same time by development, change and the possibility of becoming part of something new?

Then you now have an exciting opportunity to become an important part of the transformation of Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen into Denmark's first Citybox hotel.

As of January 1, 2027, Best Western Plus Airport Hotel Copenhagen will be part of the Citybox chain. We are therefore looking for a full-time receptionist who is passionate about hospitality and great guest experiences and at the same time wants to contribute positively to the transition to a new and modern hotel concept.

About Citybox

Citybox is a Nordic hotel chain with hotels in several European countries and a concept built on simplicity, high quality and smart digital solutions. The goal is to make the hotel experience easy, efficient and accessible – without compromising on quality.

As a receptionist you will be part of establishing Citybox in Denmark and will have the opportunity to be involved in the transition from a traditional hotel setup to a modern hotel concept with a focus on efficient operations, technology and strong guest experiences.

The position

As a receptionist you are one of the hotel's most important hosts and often the first and last person our guests meet.

You welcome guests with presence and professionalism and ensure that their stay runs as simply and smoothly as possible – from arrival to departure.

The hotel's location close to Copenhagen Airport means there is a high activity level with many international guests, early departures, late arrivals and changing needs. Therefore it is important that you thrive in a lively work environment, can handle multiple tasks and at the same time maintain good service and personal hospitality.

You will be part of the reception team and work closely with the hotel's other departments to ensure a cohesive and professional guest experience.

Your primary tasks

  • Ensure a professional, personal and welcoming guest experience.
  • Maintain the high level of hospitality delivered beyond the traditional front desk
  • Greet guests and handle check-in and check-out.
  • Assist guests with questions, wishes and any challenges.
  • Answer telephone and written inquiries.
  • Handle reservations, payments and guest information.
  • Follow up on guest requests and ensure good solutions.
  • Handle administrative tasks in connection with daily reception operations.
  • Work closely with housekeeping and the hotel's other departments.
  • Handle guest luggage professionally and solution-oriented.
  • Contribute actively to the implementation of the Citybox concept and adopt new systems, digital solutions and workflows.
  • Ensure that the hotel's procedures, quality standards and safety requirements are observed.

The position is full-time and involves shift work on weekdays, weekends and holidays.

We imagine that you

  • Have experience from hotel, reception, service or another relevant industry.
  • Are naturally service-minded and motivated by contact with people.
  • Are approachable, professional and trust-evoking in your demeanor.
  • Remain calm and maintain an overview, even when busy.
  • Are responsible, stable and flexible.
  • Can work independently and at the same time thrive as part of a team.
  • Have good administrative skills and are comfortable with IT and digital solutions.
  • Would preferably have experience with booking systems – experience with Opera is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Thrive in an environment characterized by development and change and are open to new systems, procedures and ways of working.
  • Speak and write Danish or another Scandinavian language as well as English.
  • Are a good colleague who contributes positively to collaboration and the hotel's culture.

We offer

  • A full-time position with varied tasks and lots of guest contact.
  • An unique opportunity to be part of establishing Denmark's first Citybox hotel.
  • Opportunity to follow and contribute to an exciting transformation.
  • Influence on new work processes, procedures and guest experiences.
  • An international working environment with dedicated colleagues.
  • Thorough training in the hotel's systems and procedures.
  • Professional and personal development.
  • Employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
  • Staff benefits, health insurance and social events.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, so please send your application and CV as soon as possible.

If you are motivated by guest service, a high level of activity and the possibility of becoming part of the transformation to Denmark's first Citybox hotel, we look forward to hearing from you.
