About the department

The Technical Section at Sjællands University Hospital is responsible for operation and maintenance of the hospital's buildings, energy supply and technical installations.

The Technical Section in Roskilde today consists of around 20 employees. You will become part of a department where you have the opportunity to influence both workflows, collaboration and future solutions.

The Technical Section in Roskilde and Køge must increasingly operate as one unified unit. This means that in the coming years there will be a focus on developing common workflows, leveraging competencies across and creating close cooperation between the two sites.

About the position

As a Functional Manager you will be a key person in the Technical Section with responsibility for daily leadership and operation.

Your primary association will be with Roskilde, but you should expect to work at both the Roskilde campus and the Køge campus. The position thus involves close collaboration with employees, managers and other partners at both campuses.

As part of your managerial responsibilities you will participate in the on-call management for the Technical Section. This means that after a fixed duty schedule you must be available outside normal working hours and be able to handle and coordinate operational events that require managerial involvement.

As the Technical Section in Roskilde and Køge develops into operating as one unified unit, you must be prepared for changes to your area of responsibility, your tasks and the organizational allocation of tasks. You will also have the opportunity to actively contribute to this development and help shape the future collaboration across Roskilde and Køge.

You will become part of a technical environment where supply security, patient safety and a high level of service are crucial for the hospital's daily operation.

Your tasks

As a Functional Manager you will, among other things, be responsible for

• leading and motivating the employees in the Technical Section
• ensuring stable and safe operation of the hospital's technical installations around the clock
• participating in the on-call management in the Technical Section and handling the tasks and responsibilities that come with the on-call function
• being responsible for the finances of the Technical Section in Roskilde, including budget follow-up and financial prioritization
• actively contributing to a good working environment and a strong collaborative culture
• supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing across Roskilde and Køge
• actively contributing to the development of the Technical Section in Roskilde and Køge as one unified unit
• participating in developing workflows, areas of responsibility and organization in step with the department's development.

We imagine that you

• are educated as a mechanical engineer, engineer or have another relevant technical education
• have experience with the operation of larger technical facilities or complex buildings
• have experience with leadership
• have knowledge of CTS/BMS and preferably other monitoring and operational control systems
• have understanding of technical disciplines such as electrical, water, heating, ventilation, cooling, energy systems and medical gases
• have financial understanding and can work with budgets, prioritization and financial follow-up
• are willing to work at both the Roskilde and Køge campuses
• are willing to join the Technical Section's on-call leadership.

Employment terms

The position involves work on Sjællands University Hospital's campuses in both Roskilde and Køge, and you must therefore be prepared to have your workday at both campuses.

As part of the job, you will participate in the Technical Section's on-call management according to the currently applicable duty schedule.

As the Technical Section in Roskilde and Køge develops as one unified unit, the position's organizational placement, responsibilities and concrete tasks may develop and change.

Starting salary for employees covered by a collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally set allowances and pension in the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
