About the department

The Technical Division at Sjællands Universitetshospital handles the operation and maintenance of the hospital's buildings, energy supply and technical installations.

The Technical Division in Roskilde currently consists of about 20 employees. You will become part of a department where you will have the opportunity to influence both workflows, collaboration and future solutions.

The Technical Division in Roskilde and Køge will increasingly have to operate as one unified unit. This means that in the coming years there will be a focus on developing common working practices, utilizing competencies across and creating close collaboration between the two campuses.

About the position

As a functional head you will be a key person in the Technical Division with responsibility for daily management and operation.

Your primary attachment will be to Roskilde, but you should expect to work at both campuses in Roskilde and Køge. The position therefore involves close collaboration with employees, managers and other partners on both campuses.

As part of your management responsibility you will participate in the management on-call duty in the Technical Division. This means that after a fixed on-call schedule you must be available outside normal working hours and be able to handle and coordinate operational incidents that require managerial involvement.

As the Technical Division in Roskilde and Køge develops to operate as one unit, you must be prepared for changes in your area of responsibility, your tasks and the organizational allocation of tasks. You will also have the opportunity to actively contribute to this development and help shape the future collaboration across Roskilde and Køge.

You will become part of a technical environment where security of supply, patient safety and a high level of service are crucial to the hospital's daily operation.

Your tasks

As a functional head you will, among other things, be responsible for

• leading and motivating the staff in the Technical Division
• ensuring stable and secure operation of the hospital's technical installations around the clock
• participating in the management on-call duty in the Technical Division and carrying out the tasks and responsibilities that come with the on-call function
• being responsible for the finances of the Technical Division in Roskilde, including budget follow-up and financial prioritization
• actively contributing to a good working environment and a strong culture of collaboration
• supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing across Roskilde and Køge
• actively contributing to the development of the Technical Division in Roskilde and Køge as one unified unit
• helping to develop workflows, areas of responsibility and organization in line with the department's development.

We imagine that you

• are a trained naval engineer, engineer or have another relevant technical education
• have experience with operation of larger technical installations or complex buildings
• have management experience
• have knowledge of CTS/BMS and preferably other monitoring and operational control systems
• have an understanding of technical disciplines such as electricity, water, heating, ventilation, cooling, energy systems and medical gases
• have financial understanding and can work with budgets, prioritization and financial follow-up
• are prepared to work at both campuses in Roskilde and Køge
• are prepared to join the Technical Division's on-call management.

Employment terms

The position includes work on Sjællands Universitetshospitals campuses in both Roskilde and Køge, and you must therefore be prepared to have your workday on both campuses.

As part of the position you will join the management on-call duty in the Technical Division according to the currently applicable on-call arrangement.

As the Technical Division in Roskilde and Køge develops as one unified unit, the position's organizational placement, areas of responsibility and concrete tasks may develop and change.

Starting salary for unionized employees

The region is obligated to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension under the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
