About the job

GCP Coordinator/Monitor at the Copenhagen University Hospital's GCP Unit

Are you keen to help researchers plan and conduct public clinical drug trials, ensuring that applicable laws and ICH-GCP are complied with?

Do you like to share responsibility, and do you want to become more proficient and develop yourself both professionally and personally?

Then you may be our new colleague in the GCP Unit in Copenhagen, where we are seeking a new GCP coordinator as of January 1, 2027.

Your tasks

For the majority of your working time you will perform the mandatory monitoring of clinical trials with pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices. You collaborate with the researchers from before the trial starts until its completion. In the work you share responsibility and help the researchers find the best solutions based on high professionalism and ethics.

You will collaborate with researchers in both large national and international trials as well as smaller studies. We prioritise working closely with the researchers, therefore half of the working time takes place at hospitals in the Region of Eastern Denmark.

Other tasks will include

  • guiding the researchers in the design of trial protocols and the notification/submission of clinical trials to authorities
  • advising on the setup and use of databases and electronic systems used for drug trials
  • participating in the national collaboration on monitoring and development of new initiatives regarding quality assurance of public drug trials.
  • participating in the development and maintenance of procedures for our operational functions
  • participating in the GCP Unit's information- and training-related tasks.

We offer

  • thorough onboarding and ongoing continuing education.
  • a good and inspiring working environment with a focus on knowledge sharing.
  • professional and personal development.
  • great influence on how you organize your own work.
  • close collaboration with 15 highly motivated, kind and fun colleagues who value a good social community.

Your competences

We expect that you enjoy guiding and communicating, and that you thrive in collaborating with different professional groups within various clinical specialties. You have a health professional or health science education with subsequently relevant experience in clinical research.

In addition, we expect that you

  • can work in a structured way.
  • are detail-oriented and at the same time pragmatic.
  • enjoy working with a high degree of independence.
  • enjoy taking an outreach/field role (we travel with travel card for business, cycle or receive travel reimbursement when driving own car).

Employment terms

Location is Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital, but monitoring takes place at hospitals across the Region of Eastern Denmark. The GCP Unit has an office at Frederiksberg Hospital.

The position is salaried in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between Danske Regioner and the relevant professional organization.

Working hours are 37 hours per week, or by agreement.

The position reports to the head of the GCP Unit.
