Generalist with economic and analytical competencies sought for the Ministry of Defence's Accounting Agency in Hjørring

About us

The Management and Leadership Support is part of the Accounting Agency's staff, which besides us consists of three other teams that support management and leadership, among others. The staff works with administrative tasks aimed at both the internal organization and the operational structure, as well as data protection and information security. The staff supports the entire Accounting Agency and the group as a whole.

We are 10 employees, with diverse backgrounds, who support the management with a wide range of tasks including finance, strategy, recruitment, and skills development.

About the position

You will provide general management support, but a large part of the tasks will have financial significance. You should expect that daily case processing includes preparation of analyses and forecasts.

Your tasks will primarily fall within the following areas

• Prepare and maintain the agency's budgets in collaboration with the management and the budget-responsible managers
• Handle ongoing financial follow-up on payroll, operations and other financial dispositions
• Prepare monthly financial reporting, management information and financial analyses for the agency's leadership
• Advise and support budget-responsible managers on questions about budgets, consumption and financial management
• Contribute to the development and streamlining of the agency's financial management, including governance tools, workflows and reporting formats
• Analysis of HR data, e.g. sickness absence, employee turnover etc.
• Ad-hoc analysis tasks

About you

We would like you to be quick to grasp a range of complex issues, be good at collaboration and also a good communicator, both in writing and orally. This is to ensure technically strong support for the Accounting Agency's managers.

In addition, we expect that

• you have a high professional level
• you are good at building relationships, collaborating and communicating with employees at different levels, as the Defence/Forsvarsministeriets Regnskabsstyrelse is a large organization
• you are motivated by achieving results and can structure your everyday life

We expect you to have an academic educational background such as cand.merc., cand.scient.pol. or similar. You may be newly graduated, but you can also come from a role where you have experience from similar functions, either from the Defence or from another public body or from the audit industry.

Employment terms

The employment is governed by the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (Academic Agreement).

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is the possibility of negotiating a supplement. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Hjørring.

As an employee under the Defence Ministry's area, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment relationship.

As an employee you have the duty to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacemaking, humanitarian and other similar operations.
