About us

Directorate and Management Support is part of the Financial Administration's staff, which besides us consists of three other teams that among other things support the management and leadership. The staff works with administrative tasks aimed at both the internal organization and the operational structure as well as data protection and information security. The staff supports the entire Financial Administration and the group as a whole.

We are 10 employees who with different backgrounds support the board and management with a wide range of tasks including finance, strategy, recruitment, and skills development.

About the position

You will provide general management support, but a large part of the tasks will have financial significance. You should expect that the daily case processing includes preparing analyses and forecasts.

Your tasks will primarily be within the following areas

• Prepare and maintain the agency's budgets in collaboration with the management and the budget‑responsible managers
• Handle the ongoing financial follow-up on salaries, operations and other financial dispositions
• Prepare monthly financial reporting, management information and financial analyses for the agency's management
• Advise and support budget‑responsible managers on questions about budgets, consumption and financial management
• Contribute to the development and efficiency of the agency's financial management, including governance tools, workflows and reporting formats
• HR data analysis, e.g. sickness absence, employee turnover etc.
• Ad‑hoc analysis tasks

About you

We would like you to be quick at getting into a number of complex issues, good at collaborating, and also a good communicator both in writing and orally. This is to ensure a professionally strong support for the Financial Administration's managers.

In addition we expect that

• you have a high professional level
• you are good at building relationships, collaborating and communicating with employees at different levels, as Defence/Ministerial Finance's Financial Administration is a large organization
• you are motivated by achieving results and can structure your everyday life

We expect you to have an academic educational background such as cand.merc., cand.scient.pol. or similar. You may be newly educated, but you may also come from a position where you have experience from similar functions, either from the Defence or from another public sector or from the audit industry.

Employment terms

The employment is conducted in accordance with the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state (Academic Agreement).

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is a possibility for negotiation of a supplementary allowance. The position is linked to an employer‑funded pension scheme.

The workplace is in Hjørring.

As an employee within the Defence Ministry's area you are subject to some special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment.

As an employee you are obliged to perform service outside the country's borders, including at units in international operations with the aim of participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacemaking, humanitarian and other similar operations.
