Re-advertisement, Pedagogue for Marslev School and SFO

Would you like to help children get started with school life? Then Marslev School and Childcare House is looking for you from December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible.

Marslev School and Childcare House is seeking a pedagogical worker (pedagogue) for 37 hours per week. The position is as a School and After-school Pedagogue, which means there are hours in both school and SFO.

Marslev School is located in Kerteminde Municipality, in a small village surrounded by beautiful nature with opportunities for many good trips. The children at the school mainly come from the surrounding residential areas and from generally well-functioning families.

Marslev School has pupils from 0th – 6th grade and about 140 students. The school is the feeder school to Nymarkens School and Childcare House. We value both high well-being and high academic achievement. We protect the place and each other. Marslev SFO currently has about 70 children. The SFO has its own large premises and the possibility to use the school’s rooms.

You are part of a Village System

We are a village system where the Preschool, school, SFO and club are gathered under one institutional board. This gives us a particular opportunity to create a thread through the children's lives and strengthen the community across, both internally and in the interaction with families and the local leisure and association life. The village system is an important part of Marslev’s development in the coming years, and therefore we are seeking a pedagogue who wants to engage in the whole and actively contribute to the cooperation and community around the children.

Being a pedagogue at Marslev School

• We work from a systemic approach with a focus on learning and well-being. Currently we participate in the development project TOPH School children in collaboration with the Social Board, where assessments and interventions around the children’s well-being are being worked on
• At Marslev School we work with Co-teaching in the classroom, and there is prioritized time for collaboration between teachers and pedagogues. As a school pedagogue you will therefore become an active part of the class team, where you work together with awareness of your different positions, professionalities and roles in the classroom. We expect you to bring your pedagogical professionalism into play and be curious about how teacher and pedagogue professionalism together can create good participation opportunities for all children
• The position will primarily be linked to 1st grade. You will become part of a newly started team, where you have the opportunity to help shape and develop the collaboration around the class

Being a pedagogue in Marslev SFO is a versatile job with many working cycles

• In the SFO you should be eager to be a clear and continuous pedagogical figure. You take responsibility for both the children, the community and the pedagogical everyday life and help to create direction, structure and security – even when the day changes along the way. We therefore are looking for a pedagogue who can take initiative, make pedagogical choices and help to set up activities and communities rather than waiting for others to do it
• We manage the SFO and place great emphasis on the relational work between child/child and child/adult. The SFO is the children’s free time, where social rules and possible actions are put in focus, and our task is to facilitate needs and desires appropriately for all parties involved. We do this by initiating processes and activities that require and promote relational interactions, and by being a natural part of the everyday life that the children themselves create
• In the SFO you will become part of a close collegial community, where we work as a self-managing team. Here everyone is expected to actively contribute ideas, initiative and professional perspectives. We help each other and are together in creating a good pedagogical everyday life

We expect that you

• Are a trained pedagogue and want to work both in school and SFO
• Collaborate well and at the same time dare to contribute your own professional perspectives
• Communicate clearly with children, colleagues and parents.
• Understand the importance of the relational work that underpins the security and the social development potential in daily life that we work with across the entire institution
• Are digitally competent and can independently navigate the digital platforms and tools that are part of the workday
• Are adaptable/flexible and understand that daily life in the SFO offers new joys and challenges every day

Salary and employment terms

Employment is according to the applicable agreement for Pedagogues at day-care institutions, school after-school schemes, clubs, etc. concluded between KL and BUPL. The position is classified as a pedagogue for 37 hours.

Expected salary range: 32,000 DKK - 37,000 DKK per month exclusive of employer-paid pension, holiday pay and holiday allowance. There may be locally agreed allowances, qualification-, function- and genetic allowances.

The final salary determination is based on your qualifications and previous work experience after concrete negotiation with the professional organization.
