In the nursery we know that the small moments contain something big. A glance at the changing table, the first steps into a play or the joy of feeling rain and grass are valuable moments for development and learning. Therefore we also see meals, wardrobe, putting the child to bed and diaper changes as important pedagogical spaces for presence, language, self-sufficiency and relationships.

Are you an experienced pedagogical assistant? Then we also would like to hear from you. During employment at Arken there may be the opportunity to take the merit pedagogue education, if you meet the education's admission requirements, and a concrete agreement about the course can be made.

About Børnehuset Arken

Børnehuset Arken consists of two nursery groups and three kindergarten groups. You will become part of a close nursery team and at the same time part of the entire house, where we collaborate across.

Arken is within walking distance of many of Jyllinge's fantastic natural areas, and we actively use the local area in daily pedagogy. Also with the youngest children we go out and experience nature at a pace where everyone can participate.

Time for the core task

High professionalism and pedagogical quality are essential to succeed with the political ambition to create strong communities for all children and young people, and that requires time and space for immersion, reflection and collaboration for the pedagogical staff. In Roskilde Municipality it is politically prioritized that all houses are allocated preparation time.

The preparation time should give staff the opportunity to work more systematically with the core task and at the same time create better conditions for professional development, well-being, job satisfaction and strong communities – without compromising children's time and staffing levels.

The application deadline is 27 October 2026 , and we expect to conduct interviews in week 44. The position is 32-37 hours per week with a start date of 1 December 2026 .

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement. In connection with the appointment, Roskilde Municipality will obtain criminal and child protection certificates as well as references.
