About Sofiendalskolen

At Sofiendalskolen we share 300 wonderful students from 0–9 and 4 special classes. Our school day is characterized by great diversity, and around a third of our students come from multicultural backgrounds.

We are anchored in a local area that ranges from a traditional residential neighborhood to areas with more complex social dynamics. This gives us a versatile children's community, which continually poses interesting academic demands and opens up unique pedagogical possibilities. We see diversity as a strength and a driving force for learning, and we meet the children with strong relationships, differentiated teaching, and an affirming view of children.

Working conditions and a secure start

In Faxe Municipality we prioritize good conditions for your work and preparation. The maximum teaching load is set at 26 lessons per week.

In the coming school year we place particular value on joint preparation. We invest part of the preparation time in a close and secure team collaboration, where we consult with each other, share experiences and coordinate the core task, so that no one faces the challenges alone.

Subjects

We are seeking 2 teachers who have strong pedagogical and subject competencies within one or more of the following areas:

• Danish (primarily in the early years)
• Mathematics (primarily in the middle grades)
• Physics/Chemistry
• German
• Music

• Have an affirming and curious view of children and the ability to mentalize in meeting the students' different perspectives and starting points.
• Create safe learning environments through clear and warm classroom management.

The practical

• Employment: Full-time according to the applicable collective agreement.
• Application deadline: 19 October 2026
• Interviews: 23 October from 12:00.
• Starting: 1 December 2026.
