About Sofiendalskolen

At Sofiendalskolen we share 300 wonderful students from 0–9th grade and 4 special classes. Our school day is characterized by great diversity, and about one third of our students have a multicultural background.

We are rooted in a local area that ranges from a traditional suburban neighborhood to areas with more complex social dynamics. It gives us a versatile child community, which continually poses exciting academic demands and opens up unique pedagogical opportunities. We see diversity as a strength and a driving force for learning, and we meet the children with strong relationships, differentiated teaching, and an affirming view of children.

Working conditions and safe start

In Faxe Municipality we prioritize good framework for your work and your preparation. The maximum teaching load is set to 26 lessons per week.

In the coming school year we place particular value on joint preparation. We invest part of the preparation time in close and secure team collaboration, where we consult with each other, share experiences and coordinate the core task, so no one is left alone with the challenges.

Subjects

We are looking for 2 teachers who have strong pedagogical and subject-specific competences in one or more of the following areas:

• Danish (primarily in the early years)
• Mathematics (primarily at the middle level)
• Physics/chemistry
• German
• Music

• Have an affirming and curious view of children and be able to mentalize in meeting students with different perspectives and prerequisites.
• Create safe learning environments through clear and warm classroom management.
• Thrive in an open and reflective collegial community where we collaborate and develop our teaching together.

The practical

• Employment: Full time according to current collective agreement.
• Application deadline: 19 October 2026
• Interviews: 23 October from 12:00.
• Start: 1 December 2026.
