About the job

Are you a trained laboratory technician, an agricultural technologist, or do you have a professional interest in grain and crops? Do you want to work focused on laboratory work, quality assurance and analyses, and are you motivated by working in an environment where quality, precision and collaboration are in focus? Then you may be our new grain laboratory technician for the Grain Competence Center in Karise.

Welcome to Danish Agro

The Danish Agro group consists of about 110 agro-industrial companies in domestic and international markets. We exist to create value for the farmers who own us, and we primarily deal with production and trade of commodities. Our company also purchases a wide range of crops from Danish agriculture and produces various types of fodder.

As a laboratory technician you will be a central part of our quality control of grain, seeds and other crops. You contribute to ensuring high quality through analyses, sample handling and documentation, which form the basis for both settlement, quality assessment and deliveries to customers.

About the position

The position involves both laboratory work, coordination and collaboration with colleagues, production and external partners. In the harvest period we experience high activity, and extra working hours are therefore to be expected during this period. Your primary tasks will include:

  • Analysis of grain samples in connection with customer settlement.
  • Conducting quality control analyses of grains and crops.
  • Registration and transmission of samples to external laboratories.
  • Analysis of pre-breeding grain, including determination of foreign species.
  • Handling, analysis and preparation of samples for mills, maltings and other wholesale customers.
  • Reporting analysis results to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in validation and control of analytical equipment and methods.
  • Participate in handling complaints and special analysis tasks.
  • Hiring, training and coordination of harvest helpers as well as planning work both during and outside the harvest period.
  • Ad-hoc tasks and analyses related to complaints

We imagine that you

  • Are trained as a laboratory technician, preferably with a biological background, or an agricultural technologist.
  • Alternatively have experience with and interest in grains and crops.
  • Work in a structured way and have attention to detail.
  • Are quality-conscious and thrive on following procedures and standards.
  • Can communicate results clearly and precisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Are collaborative and contribute positively to the team.
  • Have a desire to take responsibility and work independently in a daily life with great variation.

We offer

  • An exciting and varied position with broad professional breadth.
  • Opportunity to work with advanced analytical methods and laboratory equipment.
  • A strong professional environment with a focus on quality and development.
  • Good colleagues and a collaborative culture.
  • Opportunities for both professional and personal development.

Salary and terms of employment are arranged based on the individual's qualifications.

About you as a person

You are curious, thorough and fact-oriented. You are motivated to deliver analyses and results of high quality and you focus on precision and adherence to applicable procedures and standards. At the same time you thrive in collaboration with others and actively contribute to a good working environment.
