Greenland Airports seeks an AFIS Operator for Mittarfik Sisimiut, Greenland

Greenland Airports is looking for an AFIS Operator for Mittarfik Sisimiut with start by agreement.

The position gives you great professional responsibility and the opportunity to work in one of Greenland's most lively and charming towns. Sisimiut is known for its stunning nature, strong cultural heritage and active leisure life, where modern city life meets Greenlandic traditions such as dog sledding, sailing and outdoor experiences year-round. Your tasks

As an AFIS Operator your primary tasks will include

• Airfield Flight Information Service (AFIS) and alarm service
• Weather observation service
• Briefing of aircraft and crews
• Administrative tasks, including maintaining airport records
• Participation in fixed shift pattern
• Call-out to night, weekend and holiday service as needed
• Periodic service at other airports in the Greenland Airports network

We are looking for you, who

• Have a valid AFIS certificate, minimum category AFI
• Are trained weather observer
• Have a valid Medical
• Have good IT skills at user level
• Must be able to communicate professionally in Danish and English.
• Preferably speak Greenlandic, but this is not a requirement
• Are responsible and work in a structured way
• Thrive in making decisions in a safety-critical function

It is an advantage if you have completed the OJTI course, but it is not a requirement.
