About the job
Gribskov Municipality
Special Education PPR worker sought for flexible school provision close to the general curriculum
Close to the children, close to practice.
Do you want to help create strong, inclusive communities in the public school? Do you have special education knowledge and a desire to work at the crossroads between school and PPR?
We have an exciting position for you, where we together will blaze new trails.
About the position
Gribskov Municipality has established a flexible special educational school provision for pupils who need special support, but who can also benefit from being part of the school's general community. The provision is organized close to the school's other learning environments and creates a daily life with both structure and participation opportunities.
You will be part of the pedagogical team around a smaller group of children and join a practice-oriented structure where special educational knowledge and general pedagogical collaboration go hand in hand. The goal is to support children's well-being, learning and development in a daily life where they meet with positive expectations and have access to both individual support and community.
Your role as a PPR employee
You will be employed by Gribskov Municipality's PPR and have base in a multidisciplinary team, but your daily practice will take place at one or more of the municipality's schools. Here you are a fixed part of the team around the special educational provision, where you work closely with teachers, pedagogues and management.
You contribute with your special educational expertise in both planning and daily practice and are a consistent adult for the children. You help create safe frames and support the children's ability to take active and independent choices - and you contribute to making sure that the children feel seen, heard and understood.
Close to practice - close to collaboration
In Gribskov we prioritize that PPR staff are visible and accessible in children's everyday lives. Your presence makes it possible to respond early and qualified - in collaboration with the team you are part of. You will join a professionally strong community, where there is focus on coordinated efforts, interdisciplinary reflection and development of inclusive learning environments.
You contribute to ensuring smooth transitions for children and youths and work within a framework where communities with room for difference and strong parental collaboration are central markers.
We are looking for you who
- Have solid special educational experience - preferably from the school sector
- Have knowledge about children with e.g. autism spectrum disorders, ADHD or emotional difficulties
- Work in a structured manner and have strong relationship skills
- Thrive in a flexible environment with both independent and collaboration-oriented tasks
- Wish to work closely with practice and at the same time be part of a strong professional community in PPR
We offer
- An innovative and meaningful position at the intersection of general and special pedagogy
- A practice-oriented daily life with close collaboration with school and parents
- An interprofessional community in PPR with focus on sparring, supervision and professional development
- Opportunity to work in a municipality where we prioritise early intervention, coherence and well-being
- An organization with clear values and ambitions for children’s and youths’ lives and participation
Gribskov Municipality's view of children and youth
In Gribskov Municipality we work based on a shared view of children and young people and a common policy on children and young people, which is both value-based and binding. Our common view of children and young people and our common policy apply to all children and young people - and invite parents, employees and the local community to share responsibility for well-being, learning and development.
As an employee you become an important part of a collective effort, where we
- Create safety and well-being for all children and youths, with particular attention to those who need extra support
- Support communities with room for difference, where adults have the competencies to see and acknowledge all
- Promote curiosity, play and learning, where children develop both academic and social skills
- Ensure democratic formation of children and youths, focusing on responsibility, influence and engagement
- Create wholeness and good transitions in collaboration with parents and professionals across sectors
- Think in sustainable solutions - both pedagogical, social and environmental
Our common view of children and youths and our policy are the foundation on which you will build your practice.
