Maternity leave substitute - Kindergarten class leader at Nordstjerneskolen

We are seeking an engaged and relationship-building pedagogue for a maternity substitute as a kindergarten class leader at Nordstjerneskolen from 1 December 2026 to 1 December 2027.

A strong pedagogical community in the early years

At Nordstjerneskolen we work purposefully to create a safe, structured and developmental start to school for all children.

As a kindergarten class leader you will become a central part of the early years and will engage in close and professional collaboration with teachers and pedagogues around the children's well-being, learning and development. We work with co-teaching as an integrated part of our practice, where pedagogical and didactic competences are actively brought into play together.

We focus on play, learning and participation opportunities for all children. At the same time we work systematically with clear frameworks, predictability and strong relationships that support the children's development and the possibility to succeed in the community.

Our pedagogical approach is built on the understanding that children learn through participation, community and meaningful activities. Nature, movement and project- and scenario-based learning experiences are therefore a natural part of everyday life.

We are looking for a colleague who

• Is a qualified educator and has experience with or interest in working with 5-7 year-old children in a school context.
• Works systematically with relationship-building, participation opportunities and clear classroom management.
• Has an eye for both the individual child's well-being and the importance of the community.
• Can create structure, calm and predictability in daily life.
• Thrives in a close team collaboration characterized by professional sparring, shared responsibility and high ambitions.
• Sees potential in all children and works inclusively in practice.

Practical details

The position is a maternity leave substitute with employment from 1 December 2026 to 1 December 2027.

Employment is in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement for teachers etc. in the public school and for adult special education "50.01" as well as Gribskov Municipality's salary policy. You can read the Collective Agreement at www.kl.dk

A child and criminal records check will be obtained in connection with the employment.
