Gyldendal seeks an experienced developer with an AI focus

Would you like to help translate AI from ideas to solutions that create value in everyday life? Would you like to have a central role in Gyldendal's work with AI and digital development? We are seeking a curious and ambitious developer who can combine software development with business understanding and an interest in AI.

About the role

You will become part of the IT organization and join a team with high professionalism, good humor and a strong collaborative culture. We help each other, share knowledge and focus on both stable operation and ongoing improvements.

You will become a technical key person in the development of AI solutions and AI agents as well as in advising on AI. You will work across the organization and closely with Gyldendal's AI Manager.

The role requires that you can develop yourself, understand the business needs and contribute to the assessment of when we should build internally, buy or configure a solution or collaborate with external suppliers.

You will work within three core areas

Close to the organization

You will join as a technical resource in projects and teams across the organization. Here you translate ideas and needs into concrete solutions and help create common standards, documentation and technical guidelines.

In-house development

You will develop business-oriented AI solutions, for example for document processing, data extraction, internal assistants and automation. You will follow the solutions all the way from idea and prototype to robust production.

Platform and AI gateway

You will contribute to Gyldendal's shared AI foundation and work with integrations, agentic harness, including guardrails, monitoring, evaluation and model management. You also work with APIs, cloud, data sources and AI models.

Examples of areas of responsibility

• Qualify business needs and assess technical solutions, business value and solution architecture.
• Build domain-specific solutions to support Gyldendal's workflows in learning, publishing production, rights and editorial processes.
• Facilitate workshops and advise on possibilities, limitations and realistic AI technology choices.
• Contribute to data security, GDPR, EU’s AI Act and internal governance principles.

Technical experience

• Backend, API design and system integration
• User-friendly frontend development
• Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD and modern development principles
• Data modeling as well as structured and unstructured data sources
• Generative AI, LLMs, embeddings, vector databases and RAG
• Security, access control, documentation and reliable operations
