Part-time caregiver for the disabled in Ballerup

We are looking for one or more aides for our 19-year-old son, who has a developmental disorder. He has limited language and can at times be outwardly aggressive, but he is a happy young man when he thrives. He is active, loves being outdoors, is sensitive and open to all kinds of people.

Your core task is to create calm, security and structure around him and support him through the daily routines.

Duties

· Support with meals and drinks, assistance with personal care as needed

· Guidance in simple exercises and everyday activities with focus on breaks, predictability and manageability

· Join outings in the garden or car trips in nature (We have a car for this)

· Low arousal approach: reduce agitation, prevent and avert conflicts, help him return to calm

· Create structure in the day and follow agreed strategies

· Short, simple notes/handovers to the family after shifts

You will become part of a professional team consisting of other aides and a supervisor. The care takes place in Ballerup.

Shifts and flexibility

• Shifts of 3–4 hours and up to 8–10 hours within the time window 12:00–22:00
• Greatest need on weekdays 12:00–17:00
• Flexible planning – you can bid for preferred times
