Care assistant sought for a man in Roskilde - 24-hour shifts

I am a 39-year-old man living in my own apartment in Roskilde. I live at a good distance from both bus and train.

I am seeking an assistant (m/f) for my fixed team. The position is 24 hours per week, but there are often opportunities for extra shifts.

I have a well-functioning team of caregivers, which you will become part of. You, together with the rest of the team, will have influence on the duty roster, which we set once a quarter.

I sit in an electric wheelchair after a spinal cord injury and need help with most things. Cooking, cleaning, personal care and companionship outside the home. In my apartment I use a lift for transfers.

The shifts are 24 hours and run from 22:00 to 22:00. Of these, 6 hours are on-call night hours, which can be converted to active hours when you are up.

I see myself as a lively, life-loving person, with courage for life. Love listening to music, both at home and out.

I have always loved traveling and have also traveled after my spinal cord injury.

In my spare time I have attended wheelchair dancing, choir and have been politically active. Unfortunately I am not so much into that at the moment, due to a number of longer periods of illness, which have resulted in my muscle strength being weakened, so I have lost some of the functions I had before. It can be difficult for me to find the motivation for my morning training. It is therefore important to me that my helpers support me by reminding me and taking the initiative for this, as I would like to resume my previous interests.

I am looking for an employee who is flexible regarding working hours, and who does not smoke at work.

You must be able to work independently both with routine tasks and other tasks I give. I appreciate caregivers who are social at work – both at home and away. You must naturally also have a certain sense of situation. I expect you to be punctual and dutiful. Punctual regarding meeting times and especially diligent regarding the daily chores. There will be the necessary training if needed :)

A driver's license is required, and you may have experience driving a box van.

I have a BPA arrangement where I am the workplace supervisor. You will be employed under FOA's collective agreement and DUOS handles hiring and salary payments.
