Would you like to use your respiratory competencies 12 hours a week in calm surroundings without personal care?

SSAs sought for maternity leave cover in Slangerup from December 1. Regular day shifts and the opportunity to make a real difference in one resident's daily life. Respiratory experience is not a requirement; we are happy to provide training.

The resident is a young girl with Cerebral Palsy needing help with all daily activities. She has epilepsy, which is managed by the housing staff. She does not have verbal speech, but communicates through eye contact and facial expressions. She enjoys activities and an active everyday life, and you will therefore accompany her in various tasks such as:

• Running with a jogging stroller
• Swimming with her parents, where you supervise from the poolside
• Outdoor activities and experiences in the open air

Respiratory treatment and training

The resident is under 24-hour invasive respiratory monitoring and treatment . We would like you to already have an invasive certificate from RCØ, but it is not a requirement.

If you do not have respiratory experience, we would like you to have the opportunity to start training about 3 weeks before the start of the maternity leave.

We ensure that you are well prepared for the task by

• 6-8 thorough training shifts
• Ongoing sparring in the team
• Subsequent certification via RCØ

Your duties

You work on equal footing with the permanent team and have responsibility for

• Respiratory monitoring and invasive treatment
• Observation and handling of respiratory equipment
• Documentation and ongoing observation of the resident's condition
• Cooperation with the housing staff
• Participation in the resident's daily activities and routines
• Creating calm, stability and security during your shifts

About you

• Are educated Social and Health Care Assistant and want regular day shifts
• Are stable, flexible and punctual
• Thrive working closely with one resident
• Are empathetic, present and patient and can maintain an overview in stressful situations
• Have experience with respiratory monitoring, or are motivated to learn it

Shifts

We offer day shifts in a 6-week rotation on both weekdays and weekends with 6 shifts over 6 weeks.

Day shift: every day from 07:00-19:15

The team is self-sustaining. It is therefore important that you stand by the shifts you take on, and are flexible and can help during illness and vacations. Stability is crucial for both the resident, the relatives and the team.
