About the job
Would you set the direction for a strong professional environment and at the same time use your own expertise in practice?
In Jyske Bank's Compliance we are seeking a department director for Financial Risks, who is motivated to develop people, create value through professional assessments and be a close sparring partner for both management and business. As department director you will be responsible for setting the direction for the area and creating the framework for a strong professional environment where specialists can develop and succeed. You prioritize the effort, develop employees and ensure that Compliance continues to deliver value-creating advice to the organization.
At the same time it is expected that you actively contribute to the ongoing compliance work and contribute with your professional insight. You will become an important sparring partner for both employees, management and business and help qualify assessments and decisions in areas where your experience and insight create value.
About the job
You will be responsible for leadership and development of the compliance effort within the financial area, including particularly credit, liquidity and market risk as well as areas within governance and IT-related risks. Together with the team you ensure high professional quality, relevant risk assessments and value-creating advice to the organization.
You are curious about new technological possibilities and see the potential to use AI and other digital tools to increase quality, efficiency and learning in compliance work.
You will particularly succeed in the role if you
- Create a strong professional environment where specialists develop and thrive
- Strengthen the risk-based prioritization of compliance efforts
- Are perceived as a valuable sparring partner by management and business
- Contribute to developing Compliance as a modern and efficient control function
- Participate actively in daily compliance work and bring your expertise into play in selected areas
You will have broad exposure to decision-makers and other stakeholders in the Jyske Bank group. You will engage in ongoing dialogue and advice on handling compliance risks and will also be responsible for reporting to management on relevant compliance matters, responding to inquiries from relevant authorities and other compliance-related tasks.
You will thus have a central role with the opportunity to contribute to both the professional direction, collaboration with the business and the continued development of Compliance.
Your profile
We are looking for an experienced and engaged leader with solid professional insight into compliance and regulation of financial institutions. You thrive on combining leadership and strategic development with concrete professional involvement.
- Have experience with leadership and development of specialists
- Have experience with compliance in the financial area
- Translate regulatory requirements and risk assessments into clear priorities and concrete actions
- Communicate clearly and build trust with both management and professional stakeholders
- Have good collaboration skills and work across disciplines and organizational boundaries
- Emphasize own professional development and work purposefully to build and develop competencies in the department
It is an advantage if you have experience in a leading role within compliance, risk, audit or another control function.
