There are five department heads at Stavnsholtskolen. Now we will be six.

Not because we lack anyone to hold meetings with – we actually have plenty of them – but because Z and Stjernely continue to grow and develop. Therefore we are seeking a department head with an educational/pedagogical background who wants to help set the direction together with us.

You will have personnel responsibility for the pedagogues in Z and Stjernely and will work closely with the department head who has personnel responsibility for the teachers. We have different professional backgrounds and areas of responsibility, but one common task: to create a good everyday life for the children – in both school and leisure.

You don't need to have been a leader before

You must have an educational/pedagogical background, experience from a school context and solid experience from extensive special provisions. You must know the children, the complexity and the special pedagogical task. But previous leadership experience is not a requirement.

On the other hand, you must want to lead. You must have a desire for personnel responsibility, be able to create calm and direction, and dare to make decisions together with us – even when the answer is not clear in advance.

Stjernely is still a new offering, and Z is developing further. You will help shape the culture and the daily practice together with the staff and the rest of the leadership. We hope you bring curiosity, professional depth, and the courage to try something new.

The whole child – all day

In Z and Stjernely, children with extensive special pedagogical needs attend. They may, among other things, have sensory integration difficulties, challenges with regulation and a need for extensive support and guidance. We work with solid special pedagogical knowledge and a Low Arousal approach.

A child is not just a school pupil. Therefore you must have an eye for the coherence between teaching and leisure, for the child's well-being and development and for the possibilities of participating in communities. You must take pride in the collaboration between teachers and pedagogues so that the children meet adults who work in the same direction.

You will have an area – and responsibility for the whole school

We are one leadership team. We each have our own personnel responsibility, but we share responsibility for Stavnsholtskolen's daily operation. We help each other when something is urgent, and we take an interest in the whole school: general, special, school and FFO. We call that the big WE.

You must want close leadership collaboration, where we both challenge and support each other. And you must have patience – especially with your leadership colleagues. You will need it.

• has an educational/pedagogical background and experience from both school and extensive special provisions
• want personnel leadership and can develop yourself in the role, also if this is your first leadership position
• can create structure and direction in a everyday life where the unexpected also happens
• is clear in your decisions and curious about the knowledge of the staff
• sees teacher and pedagogue as equal professionalities around the child
• thinks of the child's school life and leisure life together
• takes responsibility for the entire Stavnsholtskolen and contributes to the big WE

And you must also have humor. The task is serious and sometimes complex, but we’re happy to laugh while we work.

All children do not have to do the same – but all children should belong.

Practical

In Furesø Municipality salaries and terms of employment are determined according to the applicable collective agreement and based on the Ny Løn principles.
