job details

Are you passionate about developing people and driving digital processes in construction? Do you have a strong building-technical foundation, and do you want to be the technical lighthouse that ensures high quality, constructability and the best solutions when customers' unique house dreams are translated into reality? You now have the opportunity to become department manager at Lilje-Huset in Odense, where you will play a central role in driving the company’s development across people, technology and future technologies. ...

about the job

As department manager you lead the technical organization and ensure quality, structure and development across the design office, product development and construction management. You will become a central strategic sparring partner for the director in developing technical solutions and the link between sales, design and construction. This means you enter a diverse daily life where you must both embrace people and dive into complex building-technical issues.

You will be tasked with ensuring a strong coherence between drawings, solutions and details. Regulatory requirements must be in place, and the material must be refined and buildable. With a clear mandate you contribute positively to lifting the organization to new heights with a focus on optimizing workflows, implementing digital processes and developing modern house models.

Your main task is to create the absolute best framework for the design office to succeed. You do this by:

  • Leading, advising and developing the team in the design office to reach new heights by optimizing workflows and processes
  • Ensuring the quality of drawing materials and technical solutions through close professional sparring with the design office
  • Ensuring coordination and smooth handovers throughout the construction process across sales, design office and construction management
  • Driving an ambitious digitalization journey with the implementation of robotic technology and contributing to future property development – from land purchase to completed construction
  • Handling the professional dialogue with authorities and client advisers and contributing to concepts and technical standard solutions with a view to quality, constructability and economy

to succeed in the role

To succeed in the position it is essential that leadership comes naturally to you, and that you also master your craft and come across as an approachable and trust-building leader. Your success is measured by your ability to unite the organization and create structure, quality and buildability from the customer's first idea to the finished holiday home – always as the strong professional sparring partner your colleagues naturally seek.

We expect that you contribute with

  • A building-technical education such as building constructor, engineer, architect or similar
  • Relevant experience from the construction industry, preferably from turnkey house, holiday home or other housing construction
  • Practical experience with handling private clients and mediation in complex building cases
  • A professionally strong toolkit, including experience with design and use of Revit
  • Ideally experience with property development – from assessment of site potential to the finished construction

As a person you bring contagious energy and listen curiously to professional discussions. Structure, digital savvy and the ability to build strong collaborative relationships across colleagues, customers and authorities are in your DNA.

why should you become part of Lilje-Huset?

At Lilje-Huset you become part of a growth company with headquarters in Odense, that manages to maintain short decision paths, high professionalism and a strong community. Here fixed silos are replaced by a daily life where sales, design office and construction management work closely together with an informal tone and natural sparring.

You will have a lot of freedom with responsibility and a central position with broad influence. This gives you the opportunity to put your clear mark on both the design office, the products and the ongoing development of the company. Since daily management and close collaboration across the organization are an essential part of the job, it is expected that you have your daily workday at the office.
