The Job

With reference to the regional manager and as part of the management, you will be responsible for leading, driving and developing the construction department in a well-reputed building and civil engineering company. HMC Byg og Anlæg A/S has a solid customer base and strong growth potential. You will have the managerial responsibility for approximately 30 hourly-paid employees as well as a handful of production managers and foremen – all competent and engaged employees with solid standpoints.

In addition to the management task, it is crucial that you can ensure efficient and profitable control of operations and production, which means, among other things, that you must be very close to the tasks, from the initial sales discussions and sales and production calculations, through the actual production, to the final delivery business. You will also become an important player in cross-organizational collaboration regarding deliveries.

Your primary tasks will thus be

• Leading the team around in-house production workers in the department.
• Coordination of projects, including scheduling, resource allocation and monitoring of project progress.
• Financial management - responsible for cost control and reporting to management.
• Ensuring that all work processes and performed tasks meet the set quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Safety & Health - Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with HMC’s internal rules and applicable legislation.
• Customer satisfaction - ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project process.
• Maintenance of existing customer relationships as well as building new ones.
• Preparation of offers.

Qualifications

You are a results-oriented, self-driven and innovative leadership profile, with solid project management and tender experience within the civil engineering sector. You have already proven that you can successfully lead, motivate and develop your employees and plan a project from start to finish. Perhaps you have gained your experience in the role of project manager within the civil engineering sector?

Furthermore, your personality is crucial to your success. You are determined, self-driven and focused on your goals, while being sympathetic and having very good communication and negotiation skills, combined with the necessary firmness and assertiveness. You can create structure and have solid financial insight and good business sense.
