Head of Service and Maintenance at Frederiksberg Forsyning

Do you want to lead two departments where today's tasks range from district heating exchanger stations and technical service to customer products and collaboration with CTR? Then you may be our new Head of Service and Maintenance.

You will become head of Technical Sales and Service as well as Exchanger/CTR, both part of Operations. Here you will have responsibility for the staff and the opportunity to use your technical interest in a daily operation where the day-to-day operation must function and the customer products are developed.

You will have personnel responsibility and the professional leadership of both departments. Daily, you work closely with the two coordinators who plan the tasks. Together you follow up on the tasks, align priorities, and ensure that the quality is in order.

You will report to the Head of Operations and Emergency, Gitte Weitze Christensen. For Gitte, the balance between people and technology is important. She emphasizes a leadership style that creates motivation, engagement and security in daily work.

Your tasks

Your main task is to create the framework for employees to succeed, and that the tasks are solved with high professionalism, a strong operations focus and attention to supply security. At the same time you are involved in developing the products and the service we offer to customers. Your primary areas of responsibility will be to:

• lead and develop the employees with trust, clear expectations and ongoing sparring
• have the technical responsibility for maintenance and inspection tasks on district heating exchanger stations as well as sale, installation, inspection and operation of district heating units
• ensure safety inspections on gas installations and spot checks of district heating and water meters
• develop the district heating area and our customer products with a view to customers' needs and to optimize the district heating chain from exchanger station to customer
• be Frederiksberg Forsyning's contact point to CTR and ensure good coordination, dialogue and collaboration on upcoming tenders

You are close to the daily lives of the employees and participate in the professional discussions. You can create an overview and prioritize when there are many tasks underway, without losing sight of operations. In busy periods you are also ready to roll up your sleeves and help out when extra hands are needed.

About you

You thrive on having leadership as your main task and are interested in both the employees and the technology. You are a present leader who can understand and engage the employees, create clear direction in daily life and drive the changes that are needed.

We imagine that you have

• a technical education, e.g. as marine engineer (maskinmester), engineer or another relevant technical background
• experience with technical operations tasks and preferably people management
• ability to lead in a motivating way and bring employees' skills into play
• experience with or interest in developing technical customer products and ensuring good operation and service
• ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally in Frederiksberg Forsyning and in collaboration with CTR
