Apply for the position
Are you a clear and inclusive leader who can unite people and expertise around a clear direction – and who, with commercial oversight, translates market and customer insight into a sound business with high quality?
The green transition places new demands on both public and private clients, utilities and industries. Ambitions must be translated into concrete decisions, documentation and solutions that can be realized in practice – and that create value for customers and society.
In the department we work with sustainability close to the projects and close to the customers’ business. We advise on sustainability strategies, requirements and documentation and contribute to integrating sustainable choices throughout the project process. We collaborate across disciplines and deliver integrated advice – often in collaboration with our engineers, architects and specialists across Sweco.
About the position
As Head of Sustainability you will have overall responsibility for leading and developing the department. You will have two team leaders as direct reports, and your main task will be to create direction, frameworks and coherence so that the team leaders and their teams succeed – with high well-being, strong deliverables and sound finances.
You will be responsible for the department’s overall development and for strengthening our position in a market where sustainability is increasingly a competitive parameter, and where customers demand advice that is both technically strong and commercially relevant.
Your primary tasks will be to
- Lead and develop through clear goals, ongoing sparring and strong frameworks.
- Set a clear commercial direction for the department, including drive market access, sales efforts and prioritization of focus areas.
- Ensure a strong pipeline through close customer dialogue, relationship-building and proactive work in collaboration with team leaders and key personnel.
- Actively contribute to bid work – from early positioning and team composition to quality assurance of bids and follow-up.
- Take responsibility for budgeting and financial management, including ongoing follow-up on results, resource use and delivery certainty.
- Strengthen cross-disciplinary collaboration across the organization so we deliver integrated advisory and maximum customer value.
About you
You are a relational and inclusive leader who builds trust and clarity in your leadership. You manage a balance of being a close people leader, maintaining a secure overview of budget and pipeline, and navigating many stakeholders – both internally and externally. You thrive being close to the market and translating strategy into concrete priorities, actions and results.
We expect that you
- Have experience with people management.
- Have a strong commercial understanding and experience in driving growth through client work, pipeline and proposals.
- Have experience with budget and financial responsibility and a systematic approach to follow-up and execution.
- Communicate clearly and in a collaborative way and build strong relationships across disciplines and levels.
- Have relevant insight into the sustainability field and can be a qualified sparring partner for team leaders, professional key personnel and clients.
It is not a requirement, but we would like you to have experience from the consulting industry and a network in relevant markets.
