Head of the Finance Department

Do you want to lead the financial operations in a societally critical utility company?

We are seeking an experienced and development-focused leader who can set the direction for daily financial operations and ensure that our organization works safely, efficiently and responsibly with regard to preparing budgets and annual accounts.

This is a role for someone who can think strategically and lead through others, and who understands that a strong financial foundation is a prerequisite for robust utility operations.

The role – from daily processes to team development

As head of the finance department you will have overall responsibility for the finance function with 6 competent employees. You will play an important role in both daily operations and the ongoing development of the finance area, where supporting the organization's strategic goals and the department's development tasks must be balanced.

Your leadership responsibilities

• Leadership and development of the finance function, where daily presence is highly beneficial
• Responsibility for daily financial operations, budgets and reporting
• Active support and sparring with the business units
• Ensuring effective financial processes and high data quality
• Participation in strategic decision-making processes regarding the finance area

Your tasks include, among others

• Responsibility for accounting and finance, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, accruals and provisions
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial follow-up
• Month-end close and monthly reporting
• Reporting to relevant authorities
• Responsibility for payroll processes, reimbursements and time registration
• Sparring with the management, leaders and other business units

We expect you to bring

• Experience and interest that aligns with our wishes for a finance leader with an emphasis on both people and numbers
• Preferably with experience from a utility or energy company, so you know what financial regulation is
• All the usual: relevant education, good humor and the ability to carry tasks through to completion
