About the job
Would you lead a professionally strong area where good people management, high professionalism and secure operations go hand in hand? Are you motivated by creating direction, wellbeing and good conditions for employees – and do you also have an eye for quality and progress in task execution? Then you may be our new functional leader for Henstand in the Tax Administration.
About the unit
Henstand is part of the Jura (Law) area in the Tax Administration and processes applications from citizens and companies for deferral of payment of tax and duty claims. The area consists of 14 employees and is located in Rønne.
Henstand has so far been organizationally grouped with the case area expense reimbursement, but going forward must be an independent unit. Therefore we are creating a new functional leadership position with responsibility for the Henstand case area. As a functional leader you will have the opportunity to lead the area in a new organizational framework and together with the employees set the direction for the continued development.
Henstand plays an important role in ensuring the rule of law for citizens and businesses through a correct, consistent and efficient administration of the rules in the area. The responsibilities consist mainly of concrete handling of deferral applications, preparation of statements to among others the Tax Appeal Board (Skatteankenævnet) and responding to other internal and external requests.
We place emphasis on high professionalism, good collaboration and good conditions for employees' wellbeing as well as a professional and efficient task execution for the benefit of citizens and businesses.
About the position
As functional leader you will have the daily management responsibility for the Henstand unit. A significant part of your task will be personnel management, and you must want to be close to the employees and create good conditions for both wellbeing, professional development and task execution.
You must be a clear and present leader who can create common direction and support the employees in an everyday life with complex professional issues. You must be able to lead development and changes in a way that creates understanding and involvement and at the same time maintain direction and progress.
At the same time you will be responsible for a well-functioning daily operation with high quality and consistency in case processing. You must be able to translate legislation and practice into concrete task solving and have an eye for prioritizing tasks and resources.
You will become part of the management team in the Jura division and will work together with other leaders and relevant collaborators across the Tax Administration.
Your primary tasks will be, that
- lead, motivate and develop the employees and create good conditions for wellbeing and professional development
- ensure high quality, consistency and progress in the processing of deferral applications
- plan and prioritize daily task solving and follow up on production, goals and task portfolio
- support development and necessary changes and efficiencies in the area with regard to both employees, professionalism and task solving
- ensure professional handling of internal and external inquiries and orders
Your professional and managerial competences
You have a relevant academic education and have experience with management, including operations management, preferably from a public authority or an organization with complex administrative tasks. You have strategic understanding and can work in a politically governed organization. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of the tax and duty area and experience with political servicing.
You are motivated by creating a shared direction, clear prioritization of resources and good conditions for collaboration, wellbeing and development among the employees. You have strong collaborative skills, are present and clear in your leadership and can build trust and good relationships. At the same time you can set direction and make decisions when needed. You also have an eye for operations and work systematically with efficiencies and process improvements, and it comes natural to you to communicate professional issues clearly and precisely.
We offer
You will have a central leadership role with responsibility for an independent case area of great importance for citizens and businesses. Since the position is newly established, you will also have the opportunity to help shape the unit in the new organizational framework.
