About the job
Would you like to help build and develop a new unit that will consolidate and strengthen the university's work with quality, education, and data?
As the head of our new unit for Quality Assurance and Educational Development, you will play a central role in guiding how Roskilde University works with quality assurance, educational development, analysis, and strategic decision support. You will have responsibility for a professionally strong team and the opportunity to shape the new unit's professional profile, collaborations, and the way it creates value for the university.
At Roskilde University we are currently undergoing a major reorganization, reforming our education programs, and will soon undergo institutional accreditation. You will play a central role in these changes and tasks by translating strategy into practice, strengthening data-informed development, and ensuring that the university's programs continue to live up to high quality ambitions.
As the unit head you must both ensure stable and professional operations and help shape how the new unit should function and create value: among other things by setting a clear professional direction, enabling different competencies to work together, and strengthening collaboration with management, institutes, study boards, and subject communities.”
The management group in StudieLiv, of which you will become part, prioritizes a strong and trusted internal collaboration – and with our leadership colleagues in the other shared administration and the institutes.
You create results by
- setting the strategic direction for the university's work with quality assurance and educational development
- ensuring the development and maintenance of the university's quality system
- supporting ongoing quality work through evaluations, follow-up, and development of processes
- ensuring professional support for accreditations, pre-qualifications, and the development of new programs
- supporting changes and further development of existing programs
- translating educational data and analyses into a strong basis for decisions and priorities
- developing and coordinating efforts for student well-being and dropout prevention in close collaboration with student guidance, institutes, and subject communities
- creating direction, engagement, and well-being for the unit's staff
- driving development and change processes across the organization
We envision that you
- are a clear and trustworthy leader who sets direction and creates space for strong professional work
- can move confidently between strategy, operations, and development
- have experience with quality assurance, educational development, analysis, or similar complex development tasks
- can make complex issues understandable and translate them into concrete processes and solutions
- work analytically and see the value in solid data-informed decision support
- are strong in relationships and can build support across professional and organizational boundaries
- have experience with leadership and developing employees and professional environments
- thrive being close to both daily operations and larger strategic issues.
Knowledge of the university sector is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important is that you can lead in a complex organization and are eager to make a difference for the university's core task.
