About the job

Do you want to make a difference for vulnerable children and young people with complex issues? Are you passionate about combining health care expertise, multidisciplinary collaboration and relational work – and do you have a nursing background with a focus on psychiatry and young people with substance abuse and criminality?

Then you might be our new health care coordinator at the 24/7 facility Jacob Michaelsens Minde.

You will become a central key person

As a health care coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring quality, structure and coherence in the health care interventions around the young people – in close collaboration with contact pedagogues, department heads and external partners.

You will have a versatile and meaningful daily life, where you both have coordinating, administrative and practical tasks – and where you come close to the young people and their development. In addition, there is an opportunity for professional sparring with nurses from other children and youth homes in the Center for Children and Youth.

Your new workplace

Jacob Michaelsens Minde is a 24/7 institution in the Social Administration in the Center for Children and Youth, and we are located in scenic surroundings in North Zealand. We work with youths aged 13-18 who have complex psychosocial and psychiatric challenges. We have a total of 23 beds distributed across three departments.

The target group is youths with psychiatric and psychosocial difficulties, all cognitively within the normal range. They are diagnosed within the areas of autism spectrum disorders, schizophrenia and other psychotic conditions, affective disorders as well as eating disorders. Many of the youths have dual diagnoses, which makes the work both challenging and meaningful.

You will work in scenic and tranquil surroundings with Dyrehaven in the backyard. At the same time, we have a beach and a swimming pier just a stone’s throw away. We highly prioritize making use of the nearby facilities when the opportunity arises.
