Do you dream of helping to create a home with wellbeing and a meaningful daily life for the residents at Plejehjemmet Ceres Huset? Then you may be our new Social and Health Care Assistant.

We are opening up space for two dedicated and educated social- and health care assistants for fixed positions of 30 to 37 hours per week. One position is primarily day shifts, with work every 3rd weekend.

The other position is primarily evening shifts, with work every 2nd weekend.

At Plejehjemmet Ceres Huset the social- and health care assistant is an important part of everyday life and the community around the residents. It is here that safety, presence and structure in daily life are created, and where everyday life is built on familiar faces and caring relationships.

As a social- and health care assistant at Ceres Huset you help ensure that residents have a good and safe everyday life based on their wishes, habits and needs. You work on a fixed floor and are part of a close collaboration with social- and health care assistants, nurses and therapists.

Your tasks will include

• personal care and practical assistance
• support for meals and daily routines
• attention to and detection of changes in residents' wellbeing
• documentation of professional observations and cross-sector messages

We also see that you have an eye for the small opportunities in everyday life – for example involving Bente in table setting, having a coffee with Hans, who seems a bit lonely, or enjoying a spontaneous moment in the garden on a sunny day with a couple of residents.

About Plejehjemmet Ceres Huset

Plejehjemmet Ceres Huset is part of Elderly and Care in the Mid/ East district and is centrally located at Ceres Allé 15 in the city center. We are a modern nursing home from 2011 with 72 well-appointed care apartments, where welfare technology and rehabilitation are a natural part of daily life.

We are 69 engaged employees who work closely together to create a home where residents feel seen, heard and respected.

We prioritize professional development and quality work through triage meetings, citizen conferences and professional workshops. Here we share knowledge, good ideas and speak openly about what challenges us.

Ceres Huset is furthermore one of Aarhus Municipality's independent care homes, where we work purposefully to reduce documentation and unnecessary registrations, so we can free up more time to be with the residents.

The nursing home has two deputy managers: Signe responsible for the clinical and professional part and Lisbeth responsible for the administrative part, including scheduling. Peter is the director of the entire house. We are close to everyday life and easy to reach.

The position is within the 24/7 area and is currently primarily day shifts or evening shifts.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is to be taken up on 01.12.2026 or as soon as possible.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary determination is made after negotiation with the eligible trade union organization based on qualifications.
