About the job

Highly skilled staff sought for a team in development

Due to an influx of tasks, we are seeking three engaged employees with education as a pedagogue, occupational therapist or social- and health care assistant for the Social Department's new BO-Selv initiative.

These are full-time positions at 37 hours per week. Two of the positions are to be filled by December 1, 2026, while the third position is to be filled by January 1, 2027.

BO-Selv is a new offering in development, and you will therefore have the opportunity to help shape both professionalism, collaboration and the workflows that will create the best framework for citizens' development and well-being.

BO-Selv is an offering for adult citizens who live in their own homes and receive support under the Social Services Act sections 85 and 83 due to significantly reduced physical or mental functioning or special social problems. The intervention is flexible and coordinated day, evening, weekends and holidays.

In BO-Selv we work to create hope and new possibilities together with the citizens. As an employee you will be an important support in the citizens' recovery process, where with a rehabilitative approach you support the individual to achieve the greatest possible independence and quality of life.

You will become part of a developing team where there is an opportunity to influence both professionalism, collaboration and the continued development of the service. We are therefore looking for an employee who is motivated to help create something new and actively contribute to the community.

Working hours are planned according to the citizens' needs and within the applicable collective agreement framework. Day and evening shifts are expected and currently every 4th weekend.

We work based on the OLFA model. This means that we set clear contexts for the collaboration to keep focus on the core task in the understanding of the organization, the community, leadership and staff, with particular attention to strengthening the work community. In addition, the area's common professional methods are recovery-oriented rehabilitation, systemic theory/method, MI, empowerment, neuropedagogy and trauma-informed approach.

We are looking for employees with the following competences

  • Education as a pedagogue – social- and health assistant or occupational therapist and with experience and a desire to work with citizens across all target groups.
  • A team player who makes colleagues look good - but also good at working independently, flexible, systematic, goal-oriented and reflective and who is willing to work alone in citizens' own homes
  • Ability to meet citizens at eye level in an empathetic and professional manner
  • Can work purposesly based on professional knowledge, competencies, experience and professional curiosity
  • Can accommodate the facets that can be the consequence of a frequently chaotic life and maintain calm and overview in chaos and can “go with resistance” where relevant
  • Be curious about the causes behind conflict-filled behavior by focusing on citizens' resources and challenges

Be patient and be clearly verbal and nonverbal

  • Have an eye for applying welfare technologies where relevant
  • Are strong in documenting the interventions

We offer

  • Engaging and competent colleagues who work together on the core task based on a shared vision, direction, goals and methods
  • You will become part of a newly started team with strong professional focus and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • You contribute to the implementation of the project “The Citizen at the Wheel”
  • You will become part of an organization where the focus is to support the citizen in living as independently and meaningfully as possible on their own terms
  • Targeted professional development processes in a field in motion
  • Collegial sparring and supervision with an external supervisor
  • Onboarding with colleagues and a mentoring scheme
  • A workplace where everyone contributes to a positive work community
  • Influence on work planning and task scheduling.
