About the job

Do you want to work with people where your professional expertise really makes a difference?

Professionally strong staff for Bogfinkevej – would you like to be involved from the start?

We are looking for employees who want to work with citizens with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, personality disorders, attention disorders or other mental illnesses, including citizens with overtly challenging or self-harming behavior.

Bogfinkevej is a newly established specialized service where we create a sheltered, safe and structured environment for residents with extensive support needs.

The homes are established as individual “solo offers,” where the individual resident has their own home and tailored surroundings. As an employee you will not stand alone. You will become part of a common professional environment where staff rotate between residents and have the opportunity to work with different residents and problems. The daily organization provides good opportunities for professional sparring, knowledge sharing and joint reflection – both in daily work and regarding the individual resident's development and well-being.

We are looking for you who can do something very special

You can see the value in working with people where relationships, structure, predictability and professional precision are decisive.

You must be able to stay calm in situations where the resident's stress level rises, and where behavior can be challenging.

You must be able to work preventively and de-escalate – and see behavior as communication.

You can work systematically, follow an agreed professional direction and at the same time think independently?

If you can say yes to the above - we would love to hear from you.

It requires that you can

keep overview and calm when the situation intensifies

work in a de-escalating and preventive manner

read the resident's signals and respond to them in time

work systematically with observations and risk assessment

follow common agreements and professional strategies

reflect on your own practice and accept professional sparring

document accurately and usefully

work relationally – even when the relationship is challenged

collaborate closely with colleagues and other professional groups.

We do not expect you to know everything from day one - but we expect you to have the courage and desire to learn.

Bogfinkevej is a service where professionalism is a prerequisite and a priority.

We do not believe that challenging behavior can be solved with more power or more control - We believe in professionalism, relationship, prevention, structure and a common approach. Therefore we work systematically with residents' well-being and with the factors that can help prevent stress and conflicts from escalating.

We use, among other things

LA2U, KRAP, ASK (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), SIKK, LA2U, risk assessments as well as systematic observation and documentation.

We work with shared professional strategies, risk assessment, prevention and de-escalation, and we actively use each other for sparring and reflection.

We do not regard outwardly reactive behavior as the resident's identity.

We expect something from you – and you can expect something from us

We do not want staff who simply “go to work” - We want staff who take professional responsibility.

With us you can expect

Professional sparring

Clear and engaging leadership

A close collegial collaboration

Competence development

Common professional methods and room for reflection

Focus on the work environment and safety

A workplace where we help each other succeed.

You will become part of a strong multidisciplinary environment and at Bogfinkevej we work multidisciplinary. You will, among others, collaborate with pedagogues, social and health care assistants, occupational therapists and nurses.

We believe the best solutions arise when different professional backgrounds come together around the resident.

Who are the residents?

Bogfinkevej is a service for residents with developmental disabilities and complex support needs around the clock. The residents may have autism, ADHD as well as physical and mental functional impairments. Therefore structure, predictability, recognizability and clear communication are central elements in daily life.

Residents' needs are different, and therefore the effort must always be tailored to the individual. This also means that you must be able to work individually and flexibly within a shared professional framework.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have an educational or health-professional background and preferably experience from, for example: psychiatry · disability · autism domain · special needs · complex housing offerings.

You may have worked in a highly specialized care facility.

You may have experience with Low Arousal, conflict de-escalation, risk assessment or other specialized approaches. Or perhaps you have a strong professional foundation and a desire to specialize further.

The most important thing is that you have the professional competence, calm and human perspective to work with the target group.

Our core task in the field of Disability works from the following core task

”In the Disability field we work with the resident to create a safe, homely and developing environment. We start from the individual's needs, wishes and dreams, so the resident is supported to be an actor in their own life.”

It is our common direction - Even when everyday life is complex - Even when behavior is challenging - And even when development occurs in very small steps.

Bogfinkevej is a service under development.

You therefore get a special opportunity to help shape the culture, develop the professional practice and create the common foundation on which the service will stand.

We seek more employees who want to take part in that task.

The positions are, as a rule, 37 hours per week, but requests for part-time can be accommodated.

The working hours will be rotating with day and evening shifts as well as fixed work every other weekend.

Start date: November 1, 2026 or as soon as possible.

Application deadline: October 20, 2026.

Applications will be processed continuously.
