Hi.

I am a 57-year-old man who is starting a new BPA team in Tårnby (Amager).

I have ALS and sit in an electric wheelchair. I need help with all physical work. I live in Tårnby with my wife and our adult son. I am a positive person, interested in, among other things, older houses, veteran cars and green areas. I enjoy using the swimming pool and going on sunny holidays in the winter. I have also started taking a little nap in front of the TV from time to time,

In the job as a regular helper with me you will assist with

• Personal care, for example help with bathing and dressing.
• Cooking and some cleaning.
• Shopping.
• Accompaniment outside the home, for example to the swimming pool.
• Small handy-man tasks together with me.
• You must be open to going on holiday as a helper.
• In short: Be my arms and legs in daily life.

You will be trained in my tasks.

The practical

Team Tårnby works in 12-hour shifts, typically 3-4 weekdays per week. Shifts run from 08.00 – 20.00 and from 20.00 – 08.00. At night there is a sleeping shift. There may – on very rare occasions – be a need for weekend shifts, but there is also a team starting up on Falster, where I spend most weekends at our holiday home or am on vacation.

• You are a healthy and positive person.
• You are patient and give yourself time to listen to me.
• You can work independently and at a calm pace.
• You have a sense of humor.
• You have a driving license (B).
• You are a non-smoker.
• You are not allergic to cats. We have a cat at home.
• You speak and understand Danish or English.
• You thrive in a good team where we help each other, also during holidays and sickness.

You can expect to work around 36 hours per week on weekdays, spread over 3-4 days in 12-hour shifts.

Job as on-call substitute

I need a helper who can start as a substitute (primarily during daytime hours) for example in case of illness and vacation.

It is the individual municipality’s financial assessment and provisions we follow and pay according to. All information about wages will of course be available via your helper profile. All helpers receive holiday pay at 12.5% of wages, which is paid into the Holiday Fund.
