Holmstrupgård's Bækken Ward is looking for a permanent night nurse for 34 hours per week, starting on 1 November or as soon as possible thereafter

Are you a trained SOSU assistant, nurse, pedagogue or occupational therapist? Are you interested in working with young people and social psychiatry? Holmstrupgård is seeking an employee to join the team in Department Bækken as an awake night shift of about 34 hours per week. Perhaps it is you we are looking for!

The target group at Bækken is youths aged 12-23 years with psychiatric disorders, with the primary diagnosis being an eating disorder, but with a high degree of comorbidity within autism spectrum disorders, personality disorders, OCD, depression, anxiety and self-harm.

Working with the target group requires strong professional understanding and perseverance.

You will support the youths in maintaining their structure and contribute to a safe, developing and positive environment. You will primarily work alone on the department, but with available colleagues in the other houses around Holmstrupgård.

• Have psychiatric experience – preferably from work with youths from residential facilities, youth psychiatry and/or experience as a night shift worker
• Are clear about having to work alone on the department and demonstrate great responsibility and independence
• Are educated as a pedagogue, SOSU assistant, nurse or occupational therapist
• Are loyal to the agreed structure and practice
• Are prepared to act in situations with high emotional pressure
• Are empathetic and seek to understand the young person’s perspective
• Can provide support and motivate
• See the practical work on the department at night as a natural part of your duties
• Consider documentation and quality an important part of the milieu-therapeutic work
• Have a driving license
• Can collaborate with external actors such as on-call doctor, police and hospital

Duties

• To participate in a fixed rotation in the duty roster, alternating with another night shift worker
• To maintain the milieu-therapeutic structure
• To take care of and create calm around the youths
• Practical work and cleaning in the department

Holmstrupgård is a highly specialized social-psychiatric day and residential facility for youths aged 8-23 years with the possibility of extension up to 30 years. The target group has psychiatric difficulties such as schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorders, attention disorders, depressive conditions, eating disorders and severe self-harm. Holmstrupgård consists of 5 24-hour departments, special education offers and employment, discharge and several outpatient treatment offers. We offer a holistic pedagogical and milieu-therapeutic treatment based on a psychodynamic framework.
