Hourly-paid nurse sought for Diakonissestiftelsens Hospice

Do you have the desire, courage and a personal surplus to challenge yourself in a developing and inspiring interdisciplinary field? Then you have the opportunity to join Diakonissestiftelsens Hospice as a hourly-paid replacement for our nurses.

Diakonissestiftelsens Hospice consists of a hospice with room for 16 inpatients and an outreach hospice team that carries out the palliative care for homebound patients.

We are seeking nurses who can step in, for example, in case of sudden illness, the handling of courses and taking holidays for the permanent staff. We are looking for nurses who can cover day and evening shifts all days of the week.

The aim of our work is to help patients and their relatives to live as well as possible with death in sight.

Your colleagues will be an interdisciplinary team consisting of senior physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, music therapist, social worker, cooks, priest, secretaries and technical staff. We work holistically and based on the assumption that all knowledge is necessary to ensure the best course for the patient and their relatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for a nurse who

• has experience from palliative practice or broad clinical experience from relevant specialties
• is good at maintaining overview and can handle unforeseen situations
• is empathetic and reflective
• has personal surplus and is able to create good collaborative relationships
• has good communication skills, both orally and in writing

Working hours

Working hours cover day and evening shifts seven days a week.

We prioritize time for professional discussions, ethical reflection and interdisciplinary conferences, which we know contribute to keeping the Hospice as a healthy and dynamic workplace.

At the Hospice we greatly enjoy working in aesthetic surroundings in our beautiful house. The house provides good conditions for patients, relatives and staff.
