Hourly-paid substitutes wanted – help keep Horsens sparkling clean

The cleaning department in Horsens Municipality is looking for hourly paid substitutes who want to step in when our regular staff are absent due to e.g. illness, vacation or other absence.

As an hourly paid substitute you become an important part of our daily work. When you step in, you help ensure that our schools, after-school care, offices and other municipal buildings continue to be clean and pleasant places to be.

Who are we?

We are part of Service and Preparedness in Horsens Municipality. The cleaning department consists of around 240 employees, and we have a clear ambition to be Denmark's best municipal cleaning department.

What does it mean to be an hourly paid substitute?

As a substitute you will be contacted when we need extra help. It can be due to illness, vacation or other situations where a colleague is missing.

You are not guaranteed a fixed number of hours , and the number of shifts can vary from week to week. On the other hand, the job can be a good opportunity for you who want a flexible job and have the ability to step in – sometimes with short notice as well.

The working hours can be at different times of the day depending on the place you will work. Part of our cleaning takes place early in the morning, while other tasks are later in the day. You may end up working at different addresses and meet different colleagues and customers. Therefore it is important that you enjoy variety and can quickly settle in at a new place.

We are looking for you who…

• want to work with cleaning – experience is an advantage, but not necessarily a requirement
• are stable and take responsibility for the shifts you say yes to
• can work independently and follow a work plan
• are flexible and able to step in when needed
• enjoy working at different places and meeting new people
• have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues
• can read, speak and understand Danish
• have a driving license and own car/scooter.

Salary and employment

You are employed as an hourly substitute according to the applicable collective agreement.
