House assistant sought for the lunch arrangement in our kindergarten

At the Bolbro-Højstrup Childcare Institution we do things a little differently. We are inspired by Pippi Longstrump, and our motto is:

"I have never tried that before - so I can probably do it."

A lunch program in development

Over the past year we have focused particularly on our lunch program. Food is not just fuel, but a framework for teaching children about food courage, community and self-reliance.

We continue to be curious about how we can strengthen the pedagogical meal through meaningful food experiences and recognizable routines that support the children's learning, participation and community.

A house assistant

In Haustruphave Kindergarten we are looking for a house assistant who will take responsibility for the daily lunch program in the house.

Here you will become the central driving force in the kitchen and have the opportunity to create good frameworks around the children's meals.

Although you solve the task independently in the house, you will have colleagues in our other nearby kindergartens, where you can seek sparring and inspiration.

Your tasks

• Order, receive, prepare and cook the day's lunch.
• Ensure presentation and serving of the food.
• Ensure good kitchen hygiene and self-control.
• Handle dishwashing and tidying after meals.
• Contribute to good meal experiences for the children.
• Collaborate with pedagogical staff and colleagues on today's tasks.

We are looking for a house assistant who

• perhaps has experience with similar work.
• is physically fit and can handle large amounts of food, as well as the pushing, pulling and lifting that comes with working in a kitchen.
• thrives in a fast-paced daily life.
• can work independently and maintain overview.
• recognizes needs and acts on them.
• is flexible and solution-oriented.
• is appreciative, welcoming and helpful to children, parents and colleagues.

The practical

Start date: January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Application deadline: November 9, 2026. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement concluded between KL and the negotiating organization.

The position is paid according to the applicable collective agreement. The expected salary level will be disclosed prior to any interview and depends on experience and qualifications.
