Residential Support Worker 37 hours for the Ungetilbuddet ”Rafus Grande” in Rebild Municipality as of December 1, 2026

Our wonderful colleague of many years is seeking new challenges, so we are looking for a new colleague with a social care education and experience to complement our lovely staff group, which right now consists of 1 occupational therapist and 2 pedagogues as well as a flex job employee.

In addition to taking part in daily activities, you should also have a flair for and a desire to take over the duty rostering.

Rafus Grande is a residential facility with room for 9 youths located centrally in the town of Støvring.

There are 2 departments; one with 6 places requiring participation in cooking, cleaning, etc., and a transitional department.

The facility does not have 24-hour coverage. You must be willing to work alternating day and evening shifts as well as every 4th weekend and on-call shifts following evening and weekend shifts. Evening and weekend shifts are solo shifts.

The target group is youths aged 18 – 30 years who are not developmentally age-appropriate on all areas and with mental disorders such as e.g. ADHD, autism, anxiety and self-harming behavior. The stay at “Rafus Grande” aims to develop the skills the youth lacks to live independently in their own apartment and to support the youth in clarifying their education and the labor market.

The staff at “Rafus Grande” also provides housing support to former residents of “Rafus Grande”.

The facility is organized under The social care services in the Center for Family and Disability in Rebild Municipality in close collaboration with the Center for Employment and Citizenship where we support the education plan that has been designed for the youth.

We work with individual goals that are intended to ensure that the youth acquire the competencies necessary to live an independent life.

Primary duties will be

• to develop pedagogical goals and actions in collaboration with the youth and continuously follow up on them
• to create structure in everyday life; for both the youths and organizationally
• to help ensure teaching/learning in the skills necessary to live alone; cooking, shopping, laundry, finances, personal hygiene, etc.
• to support residents in self-determination
• to support and train the youths to be part of a community
• to support and train the youths in using leisure time in a good way and in being able to participate in activities outside “Rafus Grande”
• to cooperate with relatives and networks
• to cooperate with other agencies; labor market, educational institutions, Center for Health, regional psychiatry, workplaces, etc.
• to provide housing support to youths living independently in their own residence

We expect that you

• are good at creating structure and organizing as well as meeting deadlines
• have good collaboration skills and can see the necessity of working cross-professionally and in dialogue with relatives
• can keep an overview in an unpredictable everyday life
• have the courage to try new paths
• willing to participate in development of the facility and housing support area
• are prepared to receive supervision
• can work independently
• have a driver's license
