Are you ready to translate your HR knowledge into practice? At Dansk Producentansvar (DPA) you will have the opportunity to work on establishing and developing an HR function with responsibility for hands-on HR tasks, including the development and implementation of HR policies and processes as well as end-to-end recruitment in an organization with an important social responsibility.

We are a self-governing nonprofit organization which, on behalf of the state, administers the national register and Danish legislation on producer responsibility, which is part of the Environmental Protection Act. We collect, process and disseminate data and knowledge to all actors involved in the circular economy. We are a growing organization with an increasing task, and we are also developing towards playing a larger role in the circular economy.

A broad HR role with a focus on building practical HR

You will have a versatile and independent daily life close to managers and employees, where you play a central role in developing our HR function and driving the organization’s HR tasks. You will both set direction, develop new initiatives and personally carry out the practical implementation.

Your tasks will include, among others, to

• Establish and develop the HR function, including drafting and implementing HR policies, processes and tools that support the organization’s needs.
• Develop and drive initiatives in leadership and competence development, including the MUS concept, development conversations and follow-up.
• Support the work with organizational culture, employee well-being and anchoring DPA’s values in everyday life.
• Lead and coordinate the occupational health and safety efforts in collaboration with the Occupational Safety Organization, including the risk assessment (APV) and follow-up on the physical and psychosocial work environment.
• Manage the recruitment process from A to Z in close collaboration with the hiring managers – from job postings and screening to interviews and hiring.
• Plan and coordinate onboarding so new employees have a good and structured start.
• Develop and maintain the HR annual cycle and drive HR projects ensuring the involvement of managers and employees.
• Have overall responsibility for facility management and contribute to the practical handling of tasks within the area.

We do not expect you to know it all from day one. The most important thing is that you are curious, take responsibility and want to learn and develop – and that you naturally seek sparring when there is a need for it.

At the start of your HR career – with a desire to take responsibility

You have a relevant academic education in, for example, HR, organization or business economics and typically 1-3 years of practical experience with HR tasks. Your experience may come from a broad HR role or be built through relevant student jobs or internships. The most important is that you have gained a good understanding of HR in practice and want to take on greater independent responsibility.

You work proactively, independently and in a structured way so that you actively produce proposals for decisions and follow up tasks through to completion. You are keen to write policies and guidelines and to learn new systems. You handle confidential information with care and communicate well in Danish and English, and at the same time you are good at building relationships with the people around you.

About DPA

DPA is a self-governing nonprofit organization established to oversee the public-law tasks related to producers’ and importers’ producer responsibility under the Environmental Protection Act.

The Ministry of Environment has delegated a number of tasks to DPA, including general guidance on the rules of producer responsibility and the authority to make decisions in selected areas.

DPA collects and processes data on the management of producer responsibility in Denmark, including data on which companies have registered producer responsibility, how much (and what share) of waste is collected, and thus also the companies’ ability to support the path toward a sustainable and circular resource economy through the principles of extended producer responsibility, where the producer pays for the waste they place on the market.
