About the job
Do you want to help create good frameworks for people and professional communities? As an HR consultant (maternity leave cover) at Sex & Society you will get a versatile role with responsibility for everything from recruitment and onboarding to personnel administration, employee well-being and sparring with management. We are looking for a maternity cover who is eager to learn, take responsibility and develop with us.
Job tasks
As our new colleague, your tasks and areas of responsibility will include*
- Handling HR tasks such as recruitment, onboarding, contracts, allowances, job descriptions and the staff handbook.
- Advice and handling of personnel law issues, including contracts as well as employment law matters under the Danish Salaried Employees Act and the organization’s collective agreement. The tasks are solved with ongoing sparring and guidance from lawyers at Dansk Erhverv.
- Advice and sparring with management on employee well-being, including managing sick leave, sickness absence interviews, parental leave and similar.
- Contact with Dansk Erhverv, pension company, insurance and other HR-related stakeholders.
- Have overall responsibility for sharing relevant information with our payroll administrator, approving the payroll for the secretariat and continuously coordinating with the payroll administrator about the payroll process.
- We do not expect you to know everything in advance. You will receive thorough training and ongoing support from relevant colleagues, guides and digital tools. The position provides a unique opportunity to develop your HR competencies through responsibility combined with close sparring and support.
About you
We are looking for a structured and independent colleague who thrives with a wide range of tasks and a varied workday. As a person you are curious, empathetic and have a good sense of situation, which enables you to meet people at all levels. You want to learn and develop yourself in a position with both responsibility and support. You work systematically and persistently, meet deadlines and ensure high quality when solving your tasks.
We imagine that you
- Have a relevant education – it is not as important what the education is, as long as it makes sense for the position. You can be a recent graduate or have lots of experience – your competencies are decisive.
- Have a professional approach to handling confidential information.
- Are familiar with the MS Office suite and have either experience with or an interest in HR systems and digital tools. You will be trained in using TimeLog, HR-ON, Zenegy and several of Microsoft’s programs, including SharePoint, Copilot and Outlook.
- Are curious about how AI can support your work. In the secretariat we use Copilot, and you will receive training and support on how AI can be used in practice.
- Master Danish fluently both in writing and speaking, as the working language at the secretariat is Danish.
About us
We offer an exciting and development-oriented job in an established international organization where you can help work toward a world where everyone has the freedom to determine their own body and sexuality. At Sex & Society we fight for the freedom to be who we are and to create the family we dream of.
You will be part of the Finance and Administration Department, where we are 11 colleagues, and where collaboration, professional sparring and development are an important part of everyday life.
As an NGO we are not a top payer, but we offer good collective agreement terms and place great emphasis on flexibility and a trust-based approach to our employees. Salary placement is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and is determined based on education and relevant seniority.
The practical
Application deadline: October 25, 2026.
