We are seeking a qualified pedagogue for our kindergarten.

About us

We are an integrated preschool with two nursery rooms and three kindergarten rooms, located in Hvalsø with bus, train, fields and forest nearby.

We are a two-year-old preschool in a new building with good indoor and outdoor facilities. We work, among other things, with transitions and are focused on giving the children the best transitions, both in daily life and from nursery to kindergarten and from kindergarten to school.

Nest pedagogy - community-building pedagogy, where the individual child is seen and heard in the larger community.

Language awareness is also a major focus area, as we know it makes a big difference for the individual child.

We work structured and purposefully with our professionalism in daily life to give the children a framework where they are involved, it makes sense and the child is part of the community. We use pictograms, fixed routines and preparation with the children to support the good learning environment.

We have a science workshop, a creative workshop, a kitchen with the possibility for children to participate in cooking. Common rooms and corridors with space for play and immersion. Good staff facilities.

Our playground is designed with nature as a playing partner and the children are challenged with bike tracks, sandboxes, lookout towers, a shelter, a bonfire area, swings and much more.

We have our very own natural area, where we can plant and develop as we wish with the aim of involving nature and outdoor life in our pedagogical work with the children. We hope to obtain the Grønne Spirer flag at some point.

We are continually working to improve our professional skills with the children at the center, through sparring sessions, analysis tools such as L-SAM, Action Plan, trial actions, micro actions in everyday life, evaluations and not least a large portion of curiosity and self-insight.

We work with Nest-pedagogy which sharpens the pedagogical values: All children are entitled to qualified pedagogy; Children are more alike than different; Children do their best; if they do not succeed, the adults must do something differently.

We have a close collaboration with the other preschools and Hvalsø School, the library, the day care and PPR.

In Lejre Municipality we work with the annual norms, which give you time for other work and preparation time. We hold classroom meetings - department meetings - pedagogue meetings - staff meetings and a pedagogical day.

Lejre Municipality has 10-11 closing days per year (not during the summer holidays)

Our opening hours are 6:30 to 17:00

Employment form

Preferably start December 1, 2026; if you can start earlier, that would be great. You will be employed under the applicable collective agreement and paid according to qualifications. The position is 37 hours per week, but we are open to negotiation.
