About the position We are looking for a trained educator for our kindergarten.

About us We are an integrated day-care house with two infant rooms and three kindergarten rooms, located in Hvalsø near bus, train, fields and forest.

We are a two-year-old kindergarten in a new building with good indoor and outdoor conditions. We work, among other things, with transitions and are focused on giving children the best transitions, both in everyday life and from nursery to kindergarten and from kindergarten to school.

Nest pedagogy - community-building pedagogy, where the individual child is seen and heard in the larger community.

Linguistic attention is also a major focus area, as we know it makes a big difference for the individual child.

We work structurally and purposefully with our professionalism in daily life to give the children a framework where they are involved, it makes sense and the child is part of the community. We use icons, fixed routines and preparation together with the children to support the good learning environment.

We have a science workshop, a creative workshop, a kitchen with opportunities for children to participate in cooking. Common room and corridor with space for play and immersion. Good staff facilities.

Our playground is designed with nature as a playing partner and the children are challenged with bike paths, sandpits, lookout tower, shelter, campfire area, swings and much more.

We have our own natural area where we can plant and develop as we like with the aim of involving nature and outdoor life in our pedagogical work with the children. We hope to obtain the Grønne Spirer flag at some point.

We continually strive to develop professionally with the children at the center, via sparring, analysis tools such as L-SAM, Action Plan, trial actions, micro actions in daily life, evaluations and not least a large portion of curiosity and self-reflection.

We work with Nest-pedagogy which sharpens the pedagogical values: All children deserve qualified pedagogy, - Children are more alike than different, - Children do their best; if they do not succeed, it is the adults who must do something differently.

We have close collaboration with the other kindergartens and Hvalsø school, the library, the day care and PPR.

In Lejre Municipality we work with the annual norm, which ensures you have time for other work and preparation time. We hold classroom meetings, department meetings, pedagogue meetings, staff meetings and a pedagogical day.

Lejre Municipality has 10-11 closing days per year (not in the summer holidays)

Our opening hours are 6.30 to 17.00

Salary and employment Ideally you should start on December 1, 2026; if you can start earlier that’s great. You will be employed under the applicable collective agreement and paid according to qualifications. The position is 37 hours per week, but we are open to negotiating.
