Slagelse Municipality is looking for a sport consultant for broad-based sports initiatives with a particular focus on vulnerable children and young people in the period from 11 January 2027 to 30 September 2027 with possible extension
A sports and leisure area with ambitions to involve more people in communities
There are big ambitions and expectations for sport, leisure and communities in Slagelse Municipality. Here, the Leisure Department plays a crucial role in collaboration with both internal and external actors.
In the broad-based sports area there are ambitions and an overarching focus on getting more children and young people to participate in active sport and leisure communities in early childhood education, school and leisure. There is a well-established cross-sector collaboration across sports, leisure, daycare, school, health and integration.
Are you motivated by work in the sports and leisure area with a focus on helping more children and young people thrive in active communities? Are you good at creating and maintaining relationships with different types of partners? And are you motivated by working across disciplines within sport, leisure, daycare, school, health and integration?
Then you may be the right person to become our new sport consultant.
Sport consultant with a focus on vulnerable children and young people through DIF Get2Sport and HEL Fritid
As a sport consultant you will have a special responsibility for initiatives directed at vulnerable target groups – both in daily practice and on a strategic level. You will become part of a team where we share tasks collectively and work across.
You will be a central part of the initiatives DIF Get2Sport , which supports associations in bridging children and young people in vulnerable housing areas with the selected DIF Get2Sport associations, and HEL Fritid which is the municipality's leisure guidance and membership support scheme. Additionally, you will contribute to the department's engagement in the social housing holistic plan.
To succeed in the role as DIF Get2Sport responsible in Slagelse Municipality, it requires a strong understanding of the reality of associations, including how a strong club community is strengthened. It is also important to have knowledge of recruitment, retention and not least a good and safe welcome. Expect work in evening and weekend hours to support relationships and collaboration with the selected DIF Get2Sport associations and to gain insight into their everyday life and needs.
We are currently running a pilot project under Get2Sport at several district schools in the vulnerable housing areas, where you will also play an active role in collaboration with the responsible colleague. You will also have a close collaboration with the Get2Sport project manager in Zealand from the Danish Sports Federation.
In addition to the larger initiatives, you will contribute to other projects and initiatives in the sports and leisure area as well as contribute to developing strategies and supporting political objectives – both internally in the department and across Slagelse Municipality.
We need you if you
- can work with the sports and leisure area in a broad perspective and in connection with development in both national societal trends and local conditions
- can strengthen the link between the Leisure Department's broad-based sports initiatives and other initiatives in, for example, integration and health
- can translate challenges and opportunities into actual, value-creating measures and solutions to the benefit of sports and leisure life and the municipality's citizens
- can create and maintain good relations with both internal and external partners
- can collaborate cross-disciplinary and have the ability to coordinate across many different stakeholders in constructive dialogue
- have experience with project and process management of larger cross-cutting strategic and political initiatives from a politically led organization
- have experience with political case writing, written presentations, briefings, etc.
- can work independently, but also contribute to the professional community
If you also have some of the following competencies, you are probably the one we are looking for
You
- have a master's degree in sport
- are structured and can work with both short deadlines and longer processes
- have interest in and experience with citizen involvement and can navigate a diverse landscape of stakeholders and actors
- have strong collaboration skills and are relation-oriented
